We were picked up from our hotel in a small minibus which stopped at Niagara on the Lake and the Pillitteri Estates Winery. The winery was a little pricey but we bought a bottle of wine for friends were meeting later on our trip. The stop over at Niagara on the Lake was nice but a little over hyped, the shops were all a little naff if I'm honest. We got to the falls and there was a lingering mist which distorted some of the view. The Maid of the Mist was not running but we decided to go behind the falls which was well worth the money and I would not hesitate on recommending this. We also got to go up the tower as part of our package with the tour and whilst we could not see much due to the mist we managed to get a couple of decent photos of us both. It was a once in a lifetime trip and we were not disappointed,
