I love walking around in High Park. The trails are great, and you almost forget that you're in the middle of the biggest city in Canada.

I'd highly recommend checking out the free zoo, and Grenadier pond. The dog off-leash area is also great if you've got a pooch.

Ponds, streams, woodlands and lawns and vast space to wonder around and relax, exercise or play. Great natural asset in the middle of the city. Much bigger than Edwards Gardens and a different experience. Spend a day with spring blooms, summer heat and fall colours. And winter skating on the pond. Or feed the canadian geese and few swans. Even can see "Shakespear in the Park".

It's great to have a park like this in the city! If you're going to visit in the summer or winter, the scenery is always beautiful. Perfect for photography and sketching!

Wether I am skating Grenadier Pond, snow shoeing with my dog Fergus or taking in the colours of the spring blossoms this is a park to be enjoyed year round. There is Shakespeare, a small zoo, running trails and canoeing as well. Toronto's version of Mt Royal in Monteal or Central park. JESleeth
