“Be ready for exercise!”

I wouldn't say this is a great place for people who are afraid of walking, and hills. There is a lot to see here but you need a whole day. It's a good excursion for people with kids, there are two playgrounds (one is super cool) and also a "zoo." My fave animal at the zoo is the bison, if you'rel ucky you'll get to see him running and have you ever seen a bison run? So cool.
There is a cheap little cafe you can check out here if you need some cheap eats, the omelettes are decent. They also have a nice patio in the summer. Oh yeah! If you're too lazy to walk the entire park then check out the weird little train, it's a bit overpriced but it'll give you a good overview of the park and might help you decide where to focus your energies.

“One of the BEST parks in Toronto!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2012

A haven for Torontonians and tourists alike. This massive park is a great place to relax, play sports, go for a swim, bike ride or walk your dog. You can do it all here and it's all in different sections so you don't feel crowded.

My favourite spot is the Chinese Garden, with the fountains and cherry blossom trees. A great place for a photographer. They also have a great little sit down restaurant in the centre of the park. Plus a great little league ball diamond.

We've lived in the East and West side of Toronto and this is by far the best park.

One quick note, we've never had any problems, but I would make sure you travel through with someone at night as a safety precaution.

“Best Park in Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2011

I love walking around in High Park. The trails are great, and you almost forget that you're in the middle of the biggest city in Canada.

I'd highly recommend checking out the free zoo, and Grenadier pond. The dog off-leash area is also great if you've got a pooch.
