We had a great day walking around the park and enjoyed the little zoo, plenty of nice spots for a picnic :)

A must visit if you have young kids that need to run and play in a safe, clean area. Nice paths, friendly people, and play areas for the kids.

If you need to decompress from humanity, get some sunshine and air, walk where there are no cars, and hear the sounds of nature or get the kids out for a fun, inexpensive day out, High Park is Toronto's best place.

Take a subway ride to Runnymede or High Park station, pick up some food at any the wonderful bakeries or deli's in the Bloor West, then cross the street into the oasis of calm that is High Park.

What doesn't High Park have? Nature trails, off-leash dog walking area, scenic views, open areas for frisbee, catch, or soccer, picnic tables, ice-cream, a zoo are all there for you.

When doesn't High Park have it? Stunning cherry blossom trees in the spring, sun-bathing and flowers in the summer, a riot of colourful leaves in the fall, crunchy-snow walking meditation in the winter and a brilliant relaxed atmosphere all year round.

If you live in the city and have not been to High Park yet, do yourself a favour and go soon.
