Best seat in the dome to watch a Jays game. The view of the playing field is spectator. From our room both bullpens we're visible. You could even see the jumbotron. The smell of popcorn and hotdogs filled our room.

We had a wonderful time, we will go back next year. The room was great, so was the breakfast and the amenities. We stayed for the ball game and it was amazing to stay in the hotel with the ball park right there.

Our stay was short but very good. We saw a Jays game, dined downtown, went to the hockey hall of fame and even had time to swim in the pool. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly. Thank you,

Room Tip: On game day get there early because parking is very limited. Valet couldn't park us because game...

We've been to Toronto multiple times and this is - in our opinion - one of the best places to stay. The staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful, and we have recommended the Renaissance to friends planning trips to Toronto. We'll be staying here again July 3rd - 7th and we anticipate another great experience.

Such a fun hotel! We were able to watch parts of 2 baseball games from the Arriba lounge (which is a very nice place in of itself). Upon check in we asked for an upgrade and were lucky to get a high floor room, away from any potential noise, but also the club level. Which meant we got free breakfast for our stay. The breakfast was a very nice buffet, the fresh fruit was amazing. During breakfast one day, since we had the view of the ballpark, the dome was being retracted, which was sooooo cool. The room itself was quite nice (okay the view not so much). But the bed was comfy and the bathroom spotless, with great water pressure. We also took advantage of the pool/hot tub: I would try to use this during a game as we had the place to ourselves. We also used the help of the concierge several times, they were all very insightful and gave great suggestions. If I'm ever lucky enough to visit Toronto again, I hope I get to stay at the Renaissance.

The food was good in the restaurant - one of the best "Marriott" burgers I have had. The lounge overlooks the baseball stadium which is kind of fun to be able to see the game. Overall the service staff was good. Seemed to have a lot of people around

The Concierge team was also very nice and helpful with local information. Even walking me outside to give me directions.

Aside from that - this hotel is old and in needs of TLC. The corridors are old and need updating - they are all yellow with no contrast. Drab. The guest rooms are nice enough and seem to be pretty large for a hotel room. However, the furniture is very old, the carpet is very dirty and stained (in several areas of the hotel). The bathroom lighting is terrible for putting on makeup or doing your hair. The view was terrible - train tracks which you could hear activity on or near all through the night. No wake up call needed - just wait for the train.

The hallways are long and winding. Travelling alone I didn't feel very comfortable being put in a room that had too many turns and twists to get to it. Blind corners and lots of back doors. I was very nervous walking back to my room alone.

It isn't inexpensive, rates are high. I guess that is because of the season but too much for what you get.

I will travel to Toronto again this fall but will not stay at this hotel until they get a renovation. Hopefully that will be soon.

Room Tip: They do have rooms that overlook the stadium. I am sure if there is an event going on they might be...
