Have to say that I am little reluctant to give it a four star, but, I understand the location, hopefully they will have more visitors! when business is slow, it's hard to keep the quality of service and variety. The waiter was okay( twice ) but we had problem with orders, both times, we have to change order, as the kitchen missing some ingredients! Felt like they didn't expect any customer!, both times, we are the only party there for lunch! good food, decent Greek! Great Decoration, like the atmosphere! Give it a try!

Went here with friends for brunch. Sat down and received coffee while waiting for others to arrive. After the table was full it took 10-15min to be helped. Once we were the food came and it was a good meal for price. It was 6 girlfriends eating, normally we are asked if we want 1 bill or split. The server brought our bill. When I went to him and asked if it could be split he sighed and said 'Great' very sarcastically. Once the bills were split and we were paying he said rudely next time we should tell him advance to split the bill so it's easier for him. All the restaurants I have been to first, I have never felt splitting the bill was such an inconvenience and second, I have never had a server not offer it. Felt put off by the experience.

We live very close by and have been to this restaurant several times. It seems as though every time we go back it gets worse. Most recently we were there for brunch and it was pretty bad. Our server informed us that the "good" chef as he referred to him was not in until 3pm and that the chef on duty could not cook all the items on the menu. After checking with him he was able to get us the appetizer we were looking for which was great. It really went downhill after that. Our mains were clearly pre-made and poorly reheated, to say lukewarm would be an understatement. Not only were they not hot, but they were dry. Our sides were forgotten and we did not receive them until the bulk of our entree was nearly finished. Unlikely we will go back It's a shame as a few years ago this place was actually pretty good and the staff made it better. Not sure I can say that now.

While visiting family in Toronto over a three-week period we visited Kalamata twice - both times for breakfast. The menu selection is good although not overwhelming - basic egg and pancake dishes with bacon, sausage, homefries, as well as fruit and a few other choices. One review noted skimpy portions but that was not our experience. We left both times feeling quite full. Service was also criticized as being slow, and indeed it was not fast-paced, but for a relaxed breakfast we found it fine. The restaurant, although quite large, was only occupied by about six other diners each time we were there. Had there been more patrons service might have become a problem.

Overall we thought the food was good and well-priced - good value for money. Would we return? Yes.
