An amazing and outstanding hotel and staff! The staff here go the extra mile for sure! As an example, it was my daughter's birthday the day we arrived and I was joking with the front desk staff about in other cities she would get a gift on her birthday. Later that day, in our room, we found a beautiful birthday treat. It was an a delicious and fancy dessert cake! My daughter was ecstatic! When you get out of your vehicle until you check out, you could not complain about the staff here, they go above and beyond to make sure that yo are happy,
The location is the best. Close to everything, shopping, food, the lake, the CN Tower and you name it. All within walking distance. There is also a bus charter that for peanuts, takes you the airport. The views are gorgeous. We had a room on the 25th floor and we loved it.
It would have been nice to have a few options though for restaurants in the hotel, especially the rainy days. The restaurant within the hotel is quite pricey. As well, the Spa could use more staff so that they can accommodate their guests. My husband, daughter and I all planned on a massage and there were few spots open and at quite inconvenient times. This was a disappointment.
The rooms were clean, and comfortable and not crowded. If you required anything, the staff were right there to help. We did enjoy the pool and hot tub. Not huge but nice. I would stay here again for sure!

Room Tip: Choose a room on the higher floors, facing the lake and CN Tower. Nicely done and great views

Located a 5 minute walk from both subway and Via train - good for those exploring Toronto on the TTC (subway system) which I think is by far the easiest way to do it. Rooms face either the train tracks/waterfront (which I think could be noisy depending upon your floor level but beautiful view) or the city (a different kind of noise, but really; you're in the centre of "the centre of the known universe")! Rooms are not large but a decent size and well decorated and maintained.

The hotel adjoins a very large convention centre so it may be wise to enquire with the hotel if there are any "interesting" groups which may be invading the hotel during your stay. We had the "Cannabis Council"?? there during our stay and it made for some very pungent elevator rides which I wouldn't recommend!

Ground floor bar is a tad on the pricey side ($40 for 2 cocktails) but that was partly our fault having expensive taste and not checking prices before we ordered.

Staff were very warm and helpful and the greeting we received each time we walked in the door was wonderful.

Room Tip: The hotel adjoins a very large convention centre so it may be wise to enquire with the hotel if there are any "interesting" groups which may be invading the hotel during your stay. Best to know if the "Tuba Players Association of Lower Simcoe" is going to joining you up front!

The Intercontinental was a superb hotel and from the moment we arrived till the moment we left we felt that we had received exceptional service and we were delighted with the room upgrade in recognition of our membership of the IHG Rewards program. Our only downer was that breakfast choices were mostly choices between large and large serves and the service was fairly ordinary. It would be nice if American and Canadian restaurants would offer some food options in small and full sizes. The hotel is perfectly located if you want to attend a baseball game or travel up the CN Tower, but otherwise its a long way from the lively parts of the city and while there are restaurants reasonably close, you have to know where to look for them.

Just returned from an overnight stay at this hotel. It is extremely well located to many Toronto attractions. We picked it because it its very close proximity to Roy Thompson Hall. It is a short walk to the many restaurants on King Street. When we arrived
They had upgraded us to a beautiful room on the 25th floor. The room had been completely renovated and had lovely furniture and an extremely comfortable bed. All the personnel that we dealt with were courteous and professional. It was an extremely positive hotel stay and we will be back!

We enjoyed our one night stay recently. Walking distance to China town and Queen west. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and overall cleanliness of hotel. Staff interactions were fine, but we were never offered help with our bags or given any additional information about the hotel. No hotel information in the rooms, just a room service menu. Hard to find things in the hotel without a lot of signage.

Skip the breakfast buffet. Extremely over priced hotel restaurant azure. Soggy potatoes, mushy eggs, but great pastries and selection of cheeses. No where close to being worth $28 a person.

Parking valet is $45 for a 24 hr period with in and out privileges. Self park is $28 with no in and out.

Would stay there again as it is nice but didn't seem worth the prices...
