This is an excellent City centre hotel, where we found comfortable, spacious and clean suites, with a continental breakfast included. The concierge, Stewart Flemming deserves a special mention as he is so helpful to visitors and its this kind of service that makes this hotel stand out. When we phoned to book, he organised a car rental for us and when we were there his restaurant recommendations and trip advice was so helpful in making our stay enjoyable. He even mailed back my wife's reading glasses which she left behind. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and cannot understand some of the negative reviews here which have perhaps been written by the competition?

After reading the reviews on Trip advisor, I was hesitant to book at the Cambridge Suites but I'm really glad we went. The location is fantastic as it is only a block away from the Eaton Centre, and only a few minutes walk away from a wide variety of restaurants, theatres and other shopping. The best asset of the hotel is their staff. They all are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help everyone. They made tours and dinner reservations for me and my family and directed us to the diferent attractions around Toronto.

The rooms are very spacious, perfect for families and business travelers.

Would we come back to the Cambridge Suites? Absolutely!

We stayed for five nights in late July. The suite was a good size as we were travelling with our 15 year old son, he had the sleeper sofa. The fridge and microwave were useful. The hotel is in a great location, the weather was extremely hot and we could get directly onto the PATH system and there were always taxis just outside the main entrance.

On the negative side, our room wasn't made up on our second day, we returned late afternoon and had to call housekeeping to get it done. The WC was faulty, kept flushing constantly and on one occasion blocked, the maintenance man arrived quite quickly when we reported it but he only seemed to fix it temporarily. The worst problem was a faulty fire alarm system, that went off four times while we were in the hotel once at 3.30 am. The hotel wasn't evacuated but we had to be on standby whilst the alarm sounded until the fire department arrived to check it out.

Overall the hotel seems to be showing its age, the staff on the desk were polite and helpful, we felt quite sorry for them as some guests were getting very angry over the fire alarm problem.

I stayed at the Cambridge suites in the beginning of July. The room was small old and unkept looking. The satff were nothing to write home about. and My room was not cleaned!!! Very unprofessional service in my opinion. The basic amenities were again nothing special, and don't be fooled like I was that its in the "heart" of downtown.... Its not Its west of the core and to ask for the door man to fetch me a cab was even a struggle. Won't be returning. DID NOT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS DUMP

Booked this property as a result of Trip Advisor. It was very good, especially large suites, good location and complimentary breakfast.
On Wednesday nights the staff hold a reception for guests with complimentary drinks and nibbles. Good fun.
It exceeded my expectations and I will return.

We stayed for 4 nights at the start of July in the Cambridge with our two kids. We had a suite with pull out sofa bed and found the room to be extremely clean and comfortable and very spacious compared with a hotel room. The girl at reception who checked us in could not have been more pleasant and helpful and the bellboy/luggage porter was also extremely pleasant. Even the maid understood my husband's need to watch world cup football matches shown in the morning and offered to come back later to service the room! The buffet-style continential breakfast suited us very well. Other nice touches were the apples, decent toiletries and turndown service (with chocolates and next day's forecast). Having two televisions was also great - allowed the kids to recover cope with the time difference by watching cartoons while

We did have a problem at the start with a faulty a/c unit - but this was repaired promptly.

Finally, location couldn't have been better - quiet side street and 1 min walk to the Bay (cut through it or the PATH system below to the subway and the Eaton Centre.

I'd highly recommend the Cambridge Suites, especially to families.
