“Very nice place”

I've spent 4 days in this hotel three weeks ago and everything went fine. The location is key, near CN tower and in front of several restaurants, pubs and a very cozy place - The Old Spaghetti Factory. Besides that, the breakfast is above the average, the fruits and the french bread were great.

We stayed at the Novotel for one night in order to go to a concert at the Air Canada Centre. It was a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The neighborhood is lovely with a lot of old brick buildings. The St. Lawrence market is right down the street and the Distillery District is a short walk. There were quite a few shops and restaurants nearby. The staff wasn't overly friendly or welcoming at check in or check out. The room was spacious and clean. There really weren't any dressers or anywhere to put your clothes. It didn't matter to us as we were only there one night. We had some wine after the concert at Cafe Nicole. The bartender there was very friendly. We had the buffet breakfast in the morning which wasn't all that impressive but the bagette bread was delicious. The parking was $25/nt with in and out privileges but it was convenient. Loved the location of this hotel.

We arrived late in the evening after our flight. We were not expecting a wholr lot as we had not paid that much for the 4 nights we were going to to stay. But we were very surprised, on arrival the man who checked us in was lovely and very helpful..we got to our room and we were also very surprised. It was spotlessly clean and very big!! Definitely would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Toronto and also looking for a perfection location just outside the city centre with lots of things to do around the corner..including Jack Astors for a few cocktails!! Of course a visit to St Lawrence Market and breakfast in Paddington cafe at the front of the market!!
Even check out was very easy at the hotel and the lady behind the desk offered to hold our bags for us until we were ready to go for our train!
Perfect hotel and perfect location!!

I stayed here for just one night on a quick business trip to Toronto. I found the location to be great ; very close to all of the downtown buildings and near many options for dining. I cant say that anything in particular wowed me ... but I have no complaints at all. It was comfortable, I was checked in quickly, the rate was very reasonable and staff were friendly. If in downtown Toronto would definitely consider staying again at this property.

I stayed here for 2 nights since the bride had booked a block of rooms. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating however they are held back by their computer system. We dealt with the staff often and I wanted to throw the computer out the window, so I cannot imagine dealing with it on a day to day basis. The system makes everything tedious and it seems to hinder more than help.

The rooms are quite large and clean. The showers were hot and had great pressure. The location is excellent.

Cafe Nicole has some nice food. We also ate brunch here and it was delicious. They gave each table their own pot of coffee which was great. If you book online, you can often get the brunch included in the cost of the room.

Parking is standard price.

This is a relatively new property and recommended to me by a Toronto resident. I booked two rooms and maybe I was lucky (compared to other reviews) but we had very spacious rooms. Very well designed; comfortable King Size bed, wardrobe with proper hooked hangers, desk, free WiFi with excellent signal and speed. Huge flat screen TV, chest of drawers but disappointingly no shelf (let alone wide shelf) to park and open a suitcase despite there being lots of space to have included one. So the only place to unpack was on the bed and then move the case to the floor.
The bathroom was well lit and well designed with plenty of space to spread the contents of a wash bag. Good shower.
Check-in was quick and courteous though maybe I was lucky not to arrive behind a tour bus full of passengers anxious to check in.
I had breakfast only in the restaurant. Although breakfast is essentially a self-service experience the waiting staff were very fast and efficient (for delivery of a pot of tea and the bill).
Overall a very good hotel indeed. Brilliant value for money and better than many other hotels I have stayed in that claim higher star ratings.

Our objective was to stay close to the action. Novotel was exactly that. There was an Irish Pub, Scottish, Belgian, Dutch themed bars plus our very own Tilted Kilt, right outside the hotel. The St. Lawrence Market and the Distillery Area were close.

Great location to close to the Union station, downtown restaurants, attarctions (e.g. CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame) and markets. Staff was friendly, but I found the front desk staff a little cold, though helpful. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Unlike many hotels, the WiFi atleast worked at a fair speed. Hotel parking like many downtown hotels was very expensive, though convenient if you chose not to use public transport.

Like other Europen chains, the breakfast was very good, but got a little boring by the third day.

Would love to stay there again, if travels take me to Toronto.
