We stayed Saturday night in July with a friend in the North Tower in a deluxe double room.

The service was phenomenal. Check-in and check-out only took 30 seconds. The bell service only took about 5 mins for the delivery of our luggage, the valet brought my car over in less than 3 mins.

The room (and bathroom) was spacious, and the toiletries were gentle and herbaceous. I was walking around the hotel room barefooted, and didn't even use the complimentary slippers. Everything felt clean, and they really paid attention to detail.

We did have poor quality of sleep somehow. The air conditioning either got too cold, or the blankets got too hot. Also, during the middle of the night there was a lot of room doors closing loudly. Our neighbour's received a visit from security (not by our request, and not that they were loud). There was a series of four knocks, and announcing "security" after each knock. Shortly after, we heard two female voices discussing the request for security was from the room. Basically, we can hear whole conversations happening in the hallways, and our room was at the end of the wing.

We didn't get into The Roof lounge, because my party of 3 became a party of 7, and I did not make reservations. The hostess said she would call our room to let us know once something is available, but never did. Regardless, it was my own fault for not making the reservations beforehand, better luck next time.

This hotel is very nice on the outside and very easy to enter with luggage and bags. No fighting stairs or stupid doors to get in with your bags.
The good:
Fast elevators with little wait time
Double bed room was very large and clean
Comfy beds
Large and spacious room - easy to store bags out of the way
Very nice TV and good amount of channel options
Shower had great water pressure
Large bathroom area
Decent internet speeds
Great location if you want to be near the uppity, over-priced stores
Nice mini bar area in the room
Large closet
Excellent air conditioner

Not so good:
The water in the shower would randomly fizzle out and turn off during showers and then turn back on
Toilet VERY slow to flush
No power outlets to charge cell phone or devices by beds. The outlets that are there are already used for the lamp and clock.
Desk was a little small

Overall a good place.

Stayed here for 3 nights, and was amazed at the level of service.
From valet, to check in, to concierge, to house keeping, the service level was 6 star. People saying hi everywhere you went.
The rooms were spacious, and very clean. Had the old wing, but it was an amazing view of downtown!
Speaking of view, the rooftop terrace is spectacular. Spent all three night up there. Expensive drinks though.
Only downside was the old wing only had had one elevator working.

We had a pleasant stay here. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Our room was ready upon arrival. It was very noisy so we were moved into a suite. The downside was the bedroom-king sized bed took up too much room. Only one nightstand and no room to get in on my side. Why not a queen bed? We would have been very happy or shelves on either side of the bet instead of only one night stand and no room.
Everything else was lovely.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

Park Hyatt is a known brand almost guaranteeing excellence. This isn't exactly a 5 star property, per say, but very close.

Great stay, but too short to see if it would otherwise have lived up to 5 stars. I'm giving it 4.5 based on the limited time I had here.

Room Tip: Avoid the excessive valet parking only option and use one of the lots nearby.

I checked into this hotel after a staying in another hotel which wasn't all that great. I love the Park Hyatt brand and have had great stays around the world with them so figured Toronto would be just as nice. This hotel isn't as amazing as the others I've stayed in but delivers fantastic service and a very comfortable stay. Like other Park Hyatt hotels, it did deliver a on sophistication.

What I would say I loved was how quiet it was, how clean it was and how great the service was. I loved the rooftop bar and we had drinks up there a couple of times during our brief stay. The restaurant on the main floor is great too and I enjoyed a nice breakfast the morning of my check out. The spa is pretty nice too, steam room, dry sauna and whirlpool plus relaxation rooms were a nice way to unwind, no services necessary and complimentary for guests.

What I didn't love were the rooms. Compared to Istanbul, Zurich or the Maldives where the room was interesting and contemporary, the rooms in Toronto are dated. If I had to guess it probably hasn't been updated since the early to mid-nineties. But it was very clean and comfortable so I did appreciate it as a nice retreat from the hectic city of Toronto.

Overall I was comfortable during my stay and would stay here again.
