This hotel's location is fun as it is right on the waterfront though massive construction creates problems with catching taxis and getting around a bit. Doesn't look as though the work will be completed anytime soon either. BEWARE when booking rooms of the room photos and descriptive names as I booked a "double" room that pictured two queen beds but the room really offers a king bed. Shame on me for not thoroughly reading the room description as I judged the room by the photo and the word "double" - which I assumed meant TWO beds.
While the hotel is nice, check-in is a bit nightmarish as the front desk is plopped in an area that creates traffic jams and doesn't allow for its customer service reps to adequately serve customers. The front desk folks could be more friendly. The same holds true for the restaurant service as we sat at a table for more than 20 minutes before someone came to even offer coffee or provide menus. The pool area saves this place as it is cool and provides a fun atmosphere.
I'd stay again, in the summertime, but would go inland in cooler weather to escape the construction and service issues.More
