This hotel is located perfectly - on the waterfront, quick walk to the ACC and everything else. The view is amazing, there are both grassy areas and benches to enjoy the waterfront and tons of things to do. The hotel is clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff are super helpful, they are pet friendly and provide/ set up a down doggie bed, pet bowls and mat. We needed an extra cot and the staff were very accommodating in delivery, set up etc
Couldn't ask for a better stay:)

Room Tip: The rooms facing the harbour have an amazing view

We thoroughly enjoyed spending the last 5 days of July at The Westin Harbour Castle. With a room facing the lake, we saw cruise ships, sail boats, party boats, water taxis, and lots of ferry boats since the Ferry Terminal is next to the hotel. We even saw small planes entering Toronto's smaller airport. We were on the 32nd floor, so we're not bothered by noise. Adjacent to the hotel is a lovely park, and nearby is Queen's Quai with many lakeside festivals and restaurants with outdoor dining. All of this is a total contrast to the other side of the street which is torn up with construction, as is much of downtown. We loved the view from our room; it felt like a resort! As other reviews have mentioned, the bed is the most comfortable of hotel beds anywhere! Personnel were friendly and helpful. A Room Service Server named Haile even treated us to an elegant dessert our last night. The pool is large and full of kids (very family friendly). I was pleased to even find a steam room and sauna in the Ladies' Room. We often ate a nutritious breakfast at the Lobby Srarbucks which was much less expensive than the dining room. I also agree with other reviews that a hotel of this calibre should not charge to use the Internet in rooms, and should provide a mini refrigerator. Overall, we love this hotel and look forward to another visit!

Room Tip: Request a room facing the lake, and on a higher floor.

Our stay at the Westin got off to a bit of a rocky start at check-in when we were told we had a room with 2 double beds rather than 1 king. Hardly what we wanted for a romantic stay in Toronto. But the hotel clerk found us another, nicer room and we were set. Very busy, large hotel. Could use a larger Starbucks since it was tiny. Great location on the lake.

Stayed here on two separate occasions this past spring. Short walk to Union Station and of course to Harborfront. First room was booked in April and had east view and comfortable king size bed. Bathroom was good size and the robes were comfy. Second stay was booked during Pride Week and Toronto Jazz Festival. Could only get two double beds and air conditioning in room was loud and had air blowing right at bed when it was on so it was hard to maintain comfortable temperature. And mini fridge in room didn't get that cold. Nice view of Toronto Island Airport though. And central location means easy access by short can ride to downtown and Chinatown for late dinner. April stay was good but June visit was average because size of bed and air issue.

This hotel is a very family friendly hotel on the harbor in downtown Toronto. The staff was extremely friendly and really looked after us from check in to check out. Our room was very nicely furnished, and of course, there is the Westin Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath, so we knew we were getting a good night's sleep and would wake up refreshed. The hotel is also convenient to little grocery stores along the harbor as well as the St. Lawrence farmers' market, so you could also buy a picnic lunch and take it out to the harbor. It's reasonably close to TTC Metro (Union Station), about 3-4 blocks, and is close to attractions such as Ripley's Aquarium and the CN Tower.

If I had to give demerits to this hotel, it would be the high parking fees (self-park they advertise at $35 when there are other lots that only charge $20 and the hotel bellman attempted to steer us away from those less expensive lots) and the fact that they only include free wi-fi in the lobby and not in the rooms. I am a Starwood Preferred Guest and at other Starwood hotels I've stayed at, the wi-fi is free if you are SPG. At least, though, I enjoyed one of their wonderfully creative cocktails (involving coconut milk and vodka!) in their lobby bar.

All in all, I would definitely stay here again! It's a perfect base to explore Toronto from.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing out over the bay for a great view.
