Stayed here for four nights on a family vacation from 28 July to 01 Aug 2012. Good value with a $129 Canadian room rate for all four nights with early payment, off HIlton's website. Location is good for business and also good for tourists, as it is right on the subway line, walking distance to CN Tower and Rogers Centre, and is in walking distance (less than 1/2 mile) from a variety of restaurants.

The hotel is an older property but the rooms are nice. Front desk and concierge were helpful on recommendations and in general. Pool is unique and very nice, with half of it indoors and half outdoors. It is heated even in the summer -- needs to be, as the sun shines directly on the pool only 2-3 hours a day due to neighboring skyscrapers.

Didn't partake of the restaurant or bar. Has a decent gym. Overall it met our expectations for a Hilton property.

My wife and I chose this hotel for a recent visit to Toronto.  We had never been to Toronto before, and I was primarily looking for something conveniently located to Rogers Centre that was not off the boards expensive.  We settled on this location, and it turned out to be a good choice for us.  The hotel was located in the heart of downtown, safe, and within easy walking distance of not only Rogers Centre but also the waterfront, Eaton Centre, and many restaurants and mass transit options.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.  The hotel appeared to want to cater primarily to business travelers, but it was really about half business and half leisure.  We drove to the hotel and were able to self park right next door for a reasonable rate in an underground garage that had direct access to the hotel.

As an added note, if you are visiting Toronto for the first time, I highly recommend the hop-on hop-off double decker bus as a way to orient yourself to the area and provide easy access to locations during the day (it also includes a boat tour of the island area in the harbor).  We also took the tour at Steam Whistle brewery:  if you like beer you will enjoy the free samples and tour deals, but be sure to stop by when it opens to reserve your tour as they sell out early.

The bottom line for this hotel is that it a very good location if you are looking for a safe place to stay downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

I stayed at Hilton DT for 3 nights, being a spoiled European traveller and a loyal Starwood member but less loyal HHonors, I am now sure that with my next visit to Toronto, I am most likely to stay at Hilton and skip Sheraton DT.

The front desk staff, especially the HHonors were utterly helpful and kind, the bar and lobby quiet, clean and the service excellent, had ordered mint tea at the Bar, but no fresh mint in it, sadly that was the only time I was a bit disappointed but the rest was perfect.

the room was large, clean and the bathroom comfy enough with a real shower! Sometimes I don't want to have my hair get wet or frizzy, so it is important that I have a good shower and this bathroom did offer me the comfort of a bathroom as at home. Bed was perfect and there was no noise and the room despite the heat outside, was perfectly cool and nice to stay at.

TV channels were diverse and more than I could expect and room service very much punctual, good quality and to keep it short, if you hesitate between this and Sheraton, given the location is pretty much the same, go for Hilton!

I needed to get me to York Region (Richmond Hill) with a taxi and the bellboy offered me a very good price with a Limosine and a lovely Russian driver and that is why I say they are nice and friendly.

Breakfast: I didn't use it, was too busy to go for breakfast but can tell was also good.

Spa/Swimming Pool: clean and lovely, I could see people from my room swimming and relaxing and the water was clean and the area around the pool clean as well.

Room Tip: IF you like to have a city view with downtown skyline, ask for rooms on top floors, from 22 or 23. I...

Dear Trip Advisor Member...

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We appreciate your patronage and hope that you will come back and visit us again soon! Thanks for the "tip" on the fresh mint - our chef actually grows his own herbs in our pool terrace garden - we will certainly recommend that he adds "mint" for next year's crop! A nice touch for sure!

Thanks again for sharing your comments!

The room was almost perfect, apart for a bit of smell in the bathroom. Comfortable bed, nice furniture, incredible panoramic view on the city and great location. The hotel has a 24 h fitness centre and a nice pool.

A good choice.

Room Tip: 31 floor has a good view on the city. Try the scenic elevator.

Booked a deluxe corner room for 4 nights for a family vacation. Upon check in, we were upgraded to an executive king room on the 24th floor, because of the Hilton Hhonors gold membership. At the front desk, I asked whether it was possible to be upgraded to a corner room on the executive floor and was told that none was available. So, the choice would be either a regular king room on the executive floor or a deluxe corner room on a regular floor. We opted for the executive king room, because we were told if we chose the corner room, we wouldn't be granted access to the executive lounge. Apparently, they don't give access to the executive lounge to all gold members and may not even provide room upgrades. I am aware that this policy was mentioned in the HHonors Term and Conditions, but it seems like this hotel follows the rules more strictly than others.

The hotel is conveniently located at the centre of downtown Toronto, and is walkable distance to many attractions. It is also located next to the Osgoode subway station. The hotel itself feels a little bit dated, even after some recent renovations. The rooms are clean, in decent sizes and have all the basic necessities. However, this hotel seems to cater more toward the business crowd than the family vacationers. There is a sense of "corporate" in every corner of this hotel.

The executive lounge provides continental breakfast and evening hors-d'oeuvres with an honor bar. The swimming pool is located on the second floor. It is a bit shallow, and not suitable for lap swim.

Overall, it is a comfortable hotel that provides all the basic travel needs. It is clean and convenient, but bland and generic. If you are looking for something "special" or "luxurious" for your vacation, this is not the hotel for you.

Room Tip: Junior suites may be located near the vending machine and the elevator, so if you are a light sleepe...

Dear Trip Advisor Member....

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us! As one of the most centrally located hotels within the HIlton family in Toronto, we are very fortunate to have a high number of Hilton Honors members who stay with us on a regular basis. As such, our Guest Service team works very hard to ensure member benefits are offerred at all levels of the program. As a "Gold" member, in order to guarantee access to the Executive Lounge, we would recommend either confirming an Executive Level room at time of booking or utlizing your "points" to aquire and upgrade through the Hilton Honors reservation system. With limited Executive Level Room inventory and a high volume of guests who book this level of accommodations, complimentary upgrades to member levels other than our "Diamond" guests is subject to availability. Please do accept our apologies that we were unable to provide the complimentary upgrade to your during this stay.

We do hope that you will visit Toronto again and that we will have the opportunity to welcome you "back" in the very near future!

Warm wishes,

Good location convenient to plays, sights, Rogers Stadium plus near business district. There are many long term staff members who seem happy with their jobs. Priced reasonably. I will stay there again.

My husband and I traveled to Toronto to meet some old friends and chose the Hilton Toronto because of the location and fantastic views of the city.

Some highlights:

1. Great Value: We booked our trip through Tourism Toronto and received our third night free as well as tickets to the CN Tower for a very reasonable price.

Check out: https://www.reservations.seetorontonow.com/thirdnightfree.asp

2. Exceptional Customer Service: On our second morning in the hotel our toilet backed up and overflowed all over the bathroom. Minutes after calling the front desk there was a kind plumber in our room who, after snaking the toilet, informed us we would have to move. Within a half an hour we had a bell hop at our door to move our luggage and we were settled in to a new room. The staff could not have been more apologetic for something that was beyond their control. To further add to their kindness, when we returned that evening a bottle of wine had been delivered care of the hotel manager.

3. Excellent location: Short walk to many attractions throughout the city including the CN Tower, Rogers Center, Dundas Street and Eaton Center.

Room Tip: Our one complaint was that the hallway was not air conditioned, so being on the 31st floor on a humi...
