Have stayed here a number of times for conferences, and its an OK hotel. The rooms vary in quality. My first time there I stayed in a room with a great walk in shower, however every other time its been the standard bath shower combo, which is boring. Great view of toronto from the hotel, and the rooms were reasonably clean, however showing their age. A bit pricy, still kills me that you pay so much yet internet is not included, but that is typical of these more up-scale hotels. Staff were polite and helpful, bar is ok, I like how the path is connected so you can navigate underground in the chilly months.

Nice rooms, nice if small gym, but elevator noise may impede your sleep. It did during my two night stay, despite the fact my room was on one of the top flloors. I would warn guests to insist on not having a room within 10 meters of the elevator.

Dear Jean,
I do apologize for the noisy elevators. Our elevator technicians have been working on them and we hope to eliminate the noise issue soon.

We stayed here for five nights at the end of our Canadian tour, it is well situated for visiting the various city attractions, waterfront, CNN tower, Canadian Opera etc. The rooms are clean and well equipped though internet access is charged at 15 Canadian Dollars a day...which we felt was uncceptable and the only place we stayed that charged at all.
Some of the reception staff were helpful but some seemed to want to be rid of you as quickly as possible. We arrived on a Sunday evening and were told that most of the eating places nearby were closed,,, we were directed to walk about 35 minutes away where "something might be open"... most unwelcoming as new comers to the city and after a day travelling from Calgary....which included a 2 hour coach ride form the airport. I understand that not all guests would be in this situation but there was no warm welcome or help to know what the area had to offer. The next day we talked to the concierge who seemed rather brusque and intent on selling us a package to see all the sites which felt rather overpowering for such a short stay. Like some of the reception staff he gave the impression he was too busy to bother with you.
The first time we had felt that way whilst in Canada so rather disappointing.
We did like the pool area and the external lift gave great views particularly at night.
On the last evening we chose to dine in the hotel and were pleased to be served by a kind and attentive waiter Kevin... he made it possible for us to leave the Hilton with a good memory of customer service as it should be done. The food was also very tasty, and we returned for a good breakfast before travelling home the next day, again great service.
I have stayed in Hilton Hotel's in the UK and been satisfied so maybe the "big city" aspect of the Toronto Hilton means it cannot deliver a more welcoming package to the guests.
I would look for another maybe smaller hotel if I was to return to Toronto,

Dear Ka H:
I am so sorry that you received such substandard service at the hotel from our front desk folks. I will share your comments with them to make improvements. Likewise, I will pass on your kind comments about our server Kevin! He really is a gem in Tundra Restaurant!

We spent two nights at the Hilton Toronto Downtown and were very pleased with our stay. We had a good room on the 23rd floor with a perfect view of the CN Tower, right in between the highrises. The only disadvantage of this perfect view was that we were quite close to the elevators which were quite noisy during the night. I mentionned it at check out and the girl told me I should have told them immediately and she would have given us another room - which we might have considered if we had stayed more nights.
We loved pretty much everything about the hotel. Excellent breakfast, first class service everywhere, beautiful lounge with great snacks in the evening and a beautiful view. Very good gym, little, but nice pool, perfect location downtown for everything we wanted to do in Toronto.
The two 'negative' things I would like to mention is the price of the valet parking which should be a little less high and the fact that they charge alcoholic beverages in the lounge. I had read that on tripadvisor and think it is very strange. Alcoholic beverages are on display only for two hours late afternoon and I have not been to any other Hilton property where they charged for them. I did not mind at all because I did not want anything, but I understand other people get upset about that policy.
Apart from that, it is a great hotel if you are looking for a place to stay downtown.

Dear Sunstar1019,
Thank you for your feedback. I sincerely apologize that noise disrupted your sleep. In Ontario we are not allowed by law to give out free alcoholic beverages, hence we must charge for them. In the USA, they can give it out complimentary so it does create a bit of inconsistency within the brand. The Executive Lounge is a lovely spot with its panoramic view! We look forward to your next visit!

We stayed at the Hilton in downtown Toronto to attend a family wedding. We needed an early check in which was accommodated. The room was clean with all the amenities we required. We were on the 29th floor which had a great view. The scenic elevator was fun to give you a good outlook over the city.
The staff was friend and courteous.
We did not park at the Hilton as it is very expensive - as we used to live downtown we near where to find more affordable parking.
We did not eat at the hotel as we had favorite restaurants we wanted to visit.

My wife and I spent three days in August in Toronto following a trip to Thunder Bay from Boston to attend a wedding. The Toronto Hilton is a terrific hotel. It is very well located in the city's business district and is easy walking distance to the waterfront, CN Tower, numerous museums, historic districts, fine restaurants, sports venues and ethnic neighborhoods. If one chooses not to walk, public transportation and taxis are readily available at a reasonable cost.

The hotel is very well run with helpful staff. Our room on the Executive floor (upgraded due to Hilton Honors Gold Status) was comfortable with all the amenities one would expect. We had a very nice view of the CN Tower, which is worth visiting for lunch. The hotel is large and busy, but reflects the buzz of the city in which it is located. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and made our visit an experience which exceeded all expectations. We are planning to combine a return visit with our twin grandchildren (age 10) to Toronto with a few days at Niagara Falls next Summer. We will definitely stay at the Toronto Hilton for the Toronto portion of that trip.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor facing the waterfront, if available.

My overall experience at the Hilton in Toronto was excellent. It was very centrally located so I was able to walk for food, shopping, and activities. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms smelt very clean. The view of the city was beautiful as well.
