I am in Toronto often and travel regularly. This ideally located, small hotel has served as my Toronto home away from home for several years. High quality; high service; responsive staff; I just do not stay elsewhere.

Nice petit hotel in Toronto, located within walking distance from Metro Museum station, nearby universities and colleges.
Free continental breakfast is served but do not expect what we regularly see in European hotels. Seldom to find other guests and staffs are always relaxing at the lobby.
Junior suite room is spacious and comfortable with jacuzzi but not fully convenient for the business travelers with some electronic plugs which are old enough to replace.

Hello

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review. Your comments are extremely helpful to us so as to permit us to enhance our guest's experience.

With regards to your comments about our North American style continental breakfast, please note that as of August 1st, 2011 we have greatly expanded our complimentary breakfast to a more European style full buffet concept, offering many choices for your dining pleasure. And of course, it is still complimentary to our Hotel guests.

We hope that when your travels bring you back to Toronto, you will continue to allow us to be of service to you.

Sincerely
The Management

I recently spent 3 nights at the Windsor Arms, and after staying at several downtown hotels, I will definitely be back next time I'm in Toronto. The location is absolutely great, it's nestled away on a very quiet street, but literally a 1 minute walk to shopping on Bloor St and Yorkville.

With it only being a 28-room hotel, I expected some of the service and amenities to be a little less than some of the bigger hotels, but as far as I'm concerned it was everything you'd expect from a 5-star hotel and then some. All of the staff were extremely friendly, the spa was great (with a well equipped gym, an indoor saltwater pool and tanning deck on the 5th floor) and the 24 hour butler service was extremely helpful.

The drawback is that its quite expensive, but I still felt that I definitely got what I paid for. The restaurant also really lacked a "vibe" because it was quite big but fairly empty. The afternoon tea on the other hand was great!

Went for a weekend spa get away. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The room made you feel like a movie star. The restaurant (Prime) was amazing, the steak was done to perfection and the homemade onion rings are a must. We live in Toronto and this is our get away paradise in the city.

My wife and I stayed at the Windsor Arms for a few days recently and were very impressed by the staff. From the front desk to the breakfast room, everyone was very helpful and friendly, but not in that discomforting, insincere way one finds at many upper-end hotels. The location is excellent for shopping, nightlife, restaurants, etc. The only downside is that as this is a low building surrounded by highrises, none of the rooms have a view, and our room, at least, was a bit of a throwback to the 1970s. There were panels of confusing switches next to the bed that probably seemed cutting-edge 30 years ago, but at this point just seemed a bit dilapidated (and we never did figure out how to turn on the bedside lamps, or what all the mysterious buttons controlled—if anything). That's really the only negative point that comes to mind. I'd definitely stay there again.

By the way, what they say about famous people staying there is true. We ran into a major international movie star at breakfast one morning.

I travel and have stayed at 5-star hotels around the world. The Windsor Arms is a first class boutique hotel located on a quiet street just steps away from Yorkville (Toronto's most fashionable shopping and entertainment district).

My company recently decided to hold some private top level meetings off site and chose the Windsor Arms. From the moment we arrived, they took amazing care of us. The meeting facilities are very private, except for their main room. Service level was great both in the meetings as well as afterhours in the suites. Their butler service made our stay so so easy and well looked after. For a while there you get the feeling you are in some amazing European mansion . Our breaks were enjoyed in their amazing spa with a salt water pool. The rooms are almost all suites and very very spacious. Loved the stay and will be back.

Room Tip: Go for the corner suites--amazingly bright
