This is a reasonably (for Toronto) priced hotel that has a nice exercise space and pool. The staff are generally friendly and, although there is no dedicated Concierge, the front desk staff do their best to provide useful information in a timely manner. It is, however, a bit of a gamble that they will have time and that their internet assisted knowledge will be useful. Forget getting hard to acquire tickets.
Similarly it is also a gamble trying to take advantage of their shuttle service. The shuttle service cannot be booked but if you see a black Cadallac SUV parked out front then you might be in luck. Enquire at the front desk.
Breakfast is a traditional hot breakfast with little allowance for vegetarians or vegan tastes. If you want soy milk to almond milk you may be disappointed. If you order a latte coffee then be prepared to pay between $5-7 for the privilege.
The roof top view is worth checking out. The views from the upper floors are almost worth the elevator hassles. The best poutine is just around the corner, but do not go out too late as the lines are longer and the crowds are shadier.More
