We checked in quickly at the Delta Privilege desk. Service there was adequate but not especially friendly. I realized later that they didn't even mention the special kid's check-in which I forgot about. We had a kitchenette room which could definitely use some renovation. It was old and small. The bathroom was pretty decent but didn't have a fan. The internet service in the room isn't wireless, but it is fast. The hotel is large and has numerous elevators which do not go to the same place so you have to make sure you are getting on the correct one. I went down to get a pizza for the kids from the Marketplace. The guy making them told me it would be 15-20 min. so I said that was fine and I would be back. My husband went back 20 min. later to pick it up and found that the guy never put it in the oven so he had to stand there and wait for it to cook. I didn't try it but my husband said that it was very salty. The family pool was nice. We were a little confused though why our 10 yr old was asked to do a swim test in order to use the water slide that he had already gone down at least 5 times. We walked to the Rogers Centre from the hotel which was a fairly significant walk with 2 children and a baby. Dundas Square and the Eaton Centre are only a block or two away. The hotel itself is nice for kids, however, the general area it is located in isn't. We were wondering if we were the only people in Toronto with children until we went to the baseball game! Everyone in the area seems young, childless, and smokes.

Room Tip: Request a room that isn't facing the construction.

We have gone to the Delta Chelsea 4 or 5 times now, and it is great. Yeah it is getting old and needs to be updated, but you are close to everthing Toronto has to offer. Plus they have an amazing child playzone area, the kids swimming pool with the waterslide which even I had fun on, they offer babysitting so that you can go out on your own for a bit, which is very nice. The adult pool is very quiet and the fitness area has a great selection. the beds are super comfy and i really need to get one of those pillows.
I didn't get his name but the guy in the booth in the parking garage exit is a great guy, we were grumbling about our long drive home and he made us laugh which made our long drive home almost bearable.

The Delta Chelsea is a very nice hotel with excellent staff and a fantastic central location. I stay at the hotel several times a year for business purposes. Generally speaking, the hotel is clean and well-maintained. The only drawback I could mention is that the hotel is quite expensive as are the restaurants within it. It's certainly not overpriced for a hotel in its class but it's pretty much out of the range of the unwashed masses. If the company I work for didn't pay my tab, four nights in the hotel would cost me the same as my mortgage costs for a month. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a great get-away in a beautiful hotel that's centrally located, you can't go wrong at the Chelsea. If you think you might be back periodically, sign up for a free Delta Privilege membership that will entitle you to a few freebies from time to time, too!

Room Tip: To get the best rooms, book early because the hotel is often full or nearly full.

We have stayed at this large downtown hotel twice in 5 months, and will not stay elsewhere. It is handy to everything, you can walk everywhere, from the waterfront, to Chinatown, to the HN Tower....

The hotel staff is efficient and friendly, just ask, they will help. Case in point, one night the room next to us became very loud, it was after midnight, I called the front desk, and within minutes security came and we never heard another peep all night.

Check in and out lines are long, however, the desks are staffed properly, and the line goes quickly.

Have no fear staying here, you won't be disappointed, the rooms are large and clean, there is a gift shop for snacks and drinks, and a full service restaurant/bar on site. Look no further.

My boyfriend has been to the Delta Chelsea for years and it was the first and last place he looked at when booking the night for our trip to Toronto. Our room was nice and clean and pretty sizable too for two people with a lot of items between them. I really enjoyed the coffeemaker and wish they left more packages of the regular brew (not decaf,) it was so good! The location was great- accessible to all the places we wanted to go such as Queen St. West, Kensington Market, and the Waterfront. Check in was super fast and easy.

I do want to add these points though, but they didn't detract too much from our experience. I wish they had a mini-fridge because my boyfriend and I are in the habit of carrying around food with us that needs to stay cool. The balcony was a lovely touch but it was unfortunate that it was completely covered in bird poop and had no chairs. Even just one would be nice.

All in all, I'd definitely come back here and apparently, we will be next month!

We loved our stays at Delta Chelsea. We have only come to stay because of hospital visits. We needed somewhere close to the Princess Margaret Hospital and this was perfect. Everyone at Delta Chelsea is so helpful and accomodating. Really, really impressed with everything and everyone there. Thank you again.
