“Not My Favourite”

Location for the hotel is good. It is right off Yonge and near the mall. However, the rooms/hallways/elevators could stand for a renovation/refresh. The washrooms are very small. Its not a 4 star hotel. Probably a 3 to at most a 3.5.

I did not have time to use their amenities but ate at their cafeteria like restaurant which was OK and their sports bar. Sports bar was not very good. The sound didn't even sync up with the game they were showing on TV. Not a very lively environment either.

Also lots of noise from the streets and guests.

We stayed here as my husband had meetings downtown TO. Hotel close to subway, Eaton Center, theatre...everything you could want.
We had breakfast in restaurant and it was good...price was good as well.

Room Tip: We had a room away from elevators. Quiet and comfortable. Nothing fancy but all we needed. Staff...

Stayed at this hotel 4 times in the last 5 years, even though the main area got renovated, the rooms still need upgrading and renovations. Carpets and bathroom are horrible. The rest of the hotel is ok, however prices in the main eating area are too high. I mean $3.15 for a regular small coffee......,really?

I checked in and was told I had been upgraded. My initial impression was positive, until I saw the room. I had a confirmed reservation for a king bedded room; my "upgrade" was a double be and the room relative small and tired. I complained at the front desk and was told initially that there were no more king bedded rooms. I persisted and after awhile was reluctantly give a king room on their concierge floor. The room was quite nice (it was what I'd reserved) and was less dated and worn than the first room I saw. The breakfast in the lounge was good.

This hotel used to be a Delta, but is now part of another consortium. The initial impression in the lobby is Las Vegas-like, which is neither good or bad. The hotel's location is excellent and I expect that after refurbishment and upgrades are complete it will be a very nice place to stay. However, for now, I think it may be hit or miss depending on the room assigned.

Room Tip: The hotel has two towers --my first room was on the north side of the hotel (North Tower?); my secon...

My recent trip to Toronto took me to the new (refurbished) Eaton Chelsea and I was disappointed in my stay. The hotel lobby was noticeably newly renovated, very stark and white. I was most disappointed with the Internet quality. Had I been on business, I would have checked out! The wireless internet in my room was totally undependable, very frustrating. Room was clean and comfortable. The location is great. I have stayed in the hotel when it was managed by Delta on many occasions and was generally satisfied.

Nothing out of the ordinary; was unsure after reading some other reviews but it's fairly typical of a 3* hotel. Bed was comfortable, room was tidy. Bathroom is really small but how often do you have a party in there anyway?
I would give them a higher mark if there was a coffee maker and a fridge. When will hotels learn that a fridge is an important thing for people travelling? At least it's December so I could leave my snacks on the balcony.
Parking is high but it's Toronto so I guess you have to suck it up right? If you have a truck, the underground parking is LOW! Not quite as low as the 5'5" the sign says as I was able to get in and out with my 4x4 Dodge but it was unnerving.
