I only stayed at the Delta Chelsea one night and I'm shocked at how loud the construction is next door. They started before 630am and the sounds include jackhammers and someone yelling over a loud speaker.

I also felt this hotel is totally old, smells musty, and floored that they charge a $4 delivery fee plus gratuity for room service. Wish they had mentioned that when i ordered a $5 icecream!

Thank God I only had to stay one night!

I stayed there for one night for a rate of $160cad that didn't include wireless internet (tough these days you almost never do)
I was mostly shocked when I received my bill showing an amount of 2.75 for a call which was to a toll free number.. This is quite a flat fee !!
The room itself was handicapped accesible which I was not even made aware of at the time of checking-in.
There was hardly any space between the bed and the TV. I have to note that the bed and pillows were quite confortable.
I went to the "market style" breakfast place and was charge hefty $23 for an omelette, a yogurt with fruits and a coffee..
Other than being conveniently located, I wouldn't recommend it for its price.

We enjoyed our stay at the Delta Chelsea. There was a problem with our TV - we could not order a movie - and the staff was very responsive. Comfortable beds, clean and spacious rooms - it was perfect. I don't recommend the food however, both the restaurants left much to be desired.

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 10nights and everynight was fantastic, on arriving the staff were very helpful we immediately got upgraded to a larger room in the hotel with a better view of the city. The room was very clean and had been modernized recently. The bed was comfy.
We were helped with our enquires to every detail on looking for places to go by the staff.
Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance (except the zoo on which the staff told us the subways to take and the bus number aswel).
This is a hotel i would definatly use again although walking through the lobby it was always full of people and lots of children we were never disturbed in our room once by the noise in the hallways.

We booked our stay through Expedia as a "mystery room" for cheap (well cheap for the Delta Chelsea). We stayed one night during a weekend trip into the city to see Wicked. When we checked in we asked if we could change our room with 2 double beds to a single queen. We were told that would cost $20 (since when?!). We parked our car at City Hall to avoid the costly valet parking at the hotel (we got 2 days for $18 rather then 1 night for $32).

Internet in the room cost $15 a day (approximately) and we didn't even take a look at the cost of the in house restaurants, opting for Yelp recommends instead. Our room was a little bit warm for our liking and so we tried to adjust the thermostat (nothing happened). When we called down to the front desk they told us the whole building was on the heating unit so there was no way to cool it off. When we went to use the hot tub and pool (which I was very excited about!) in the adults only area the hot tub was missing a part and there were no jets working in it. Disappointing...

To be more positive... the room was nice and clean as was the rest of the hotel. Without asking, we were brought a fan to our room to help keep us cool in the heat. The adult only swimming pool/hot tub/fitness area is lovely and I'm sure during the day is gorgeous with all the windows (we were up there at night). The beds were comfy and we both slept well in our cozy double bed.

Overall it was good experience - just a little more costly for all the services we thought might be included in an expensive downtown hotel. Seems like they're trying to charge you at each step of the way. We managed to get out without any incidental costs though.

this hotel had much more to offer than i was expecting for such a low price. We paid approx $150 per night and it was worth it. The room was tight..and the balcony left much to be desired, but it was all we wanted (2 girls on a friend weekend away).

Couldn't hear anything in other rooms either, so that's always a bonus!

Decent gym as well (lot's of weights and equipment and heaps of treadmills and cross trainers). Pool looked good as well and there was a hot tub. Tools availble to guests.

it's right downtown, close to a lot so convenience is definately key. It's a very big hotel, with a restaurant that didn't look that great, but two pubs that had decent pub food. And wireless is free downstairs...that was great!!
I would recommend this hotel to friends and I would stay here again!

My girl friend and I chose to stay at this hotel for its great location. As good as its location is, we immediately encountered a problem when we were checking in. We spent about 20mins checking in only because they had checked somebody else earlier into our room. They made up by giving us a breakfast voucher and "upgraded" us to a suite with a kitchen.

The bads,
The room was not very inspring and the room smelled like paint and glue (from recent renovation).

The thermostat in our room was NOT always working (which made the paint/glue smell even worse) and the fan kept on spitting out white dust particles (probably from the renovation). The whole situation was extremely irritating to say the very least.

The sound proof wasn't anything spectacular either. Anything goes on in the hallway pretty much goes right thru the door.

The goods,
Provided that our room was a suite with kitchen, Delta was nice enough to complete the suite with all imaginable kitchen necessities (eg, kitchenware [pots, pan], sliver ware and appliance [microwave, frig, coffee machine and stove]). It's very convenient for those who wanna cook (but who would when there are tons of restaurants right around them?!?!?).

The mattress was very comfortable.

Summing it up...
The location is GREAT but I wouldn't stay here (crappy room by my standard) if I had not found a good rate (we paid $79 + TAX/night) thru online deal sites...
