“Toronto Union Station”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

The station itself is big and clean. The procedures for booking are good. The staff are helpful.
However, the area around the station is horrible. It is not easy to find a parking close to the station if you are not familiar with Toronto downtown. Lots of constructions around the area. They started more than a year ago, and did not finish. If you take a bus and get off to walk to the station, that is really miserable. There should be an easy pavement to allow people with luggage to walk peacefully. I had to drag my suitcases in the street ( with lots of construction) and had to go down the stairs to reach the station.
Taking the train is better than the bus if you get a good price for your ticket. However, the trains are old and relatively slow.

“wish I got to see more”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

I came in to union Station from Amtrak , it is a beautiful station inside, the interior and architecture. I just wish it wasn't under construction on the outside so I can see the majestic old station, but with an old building you do need to renovate and up keep. I didn't see much I was passing through but from a couple post cards I purchased, beautiful building.

“Construction, Construction and more Construction”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

Union station is the central hub of the downtown area metro. I disembarked from Union Station, via train Canada to Montreal. Unfortunately when I arrived back in Toronto, the Union station metro was closed for renovations, including all metro stops, through St. George. 2 things to be aware of about the Toronto Metro System. 1) The metro really doesn't have great coverage of the downtown area. 2) On Sunday's the metro doesn't start running until 9:00 am.
