Today's our last day in Toronto and we thought we should do something more relaxing, so our friends brought us to Edwards Gardens. I think it was more of a park but there was a botanical garden beside it. It is a nice place to take a walk, relax and hang out. The air is fresh, the environment is nice and green, and you can have a picnic in the park! Good place to visit.

A beautiful park right in the city - many connecting trails for hiking and biking along a creek that is part of the Don Valley area.
The botanical gardens are interesting and very beautiful too. Vegetables grown here are given to the Toronto Food Bank.
All of this a free but you can make a donation toward its upkeep.

The Toronto Botanical Gardens (Lawrence Ave. E. and Leslie St.) is a gardening education and information centre located at the north (upper) end of the city owned and administered public park (established in 1956). After renovation of their Centre for Horticulture in 2005 the TBG developed 4 themed gardens on ~4 acres that was officially opened in 2006. Visitors can enjoy beautifully landscaped areas with many of the plants named and grouped to facilitate learning and exploration.

Free parking and it's a nice garden. It also leads to a hiking path that you can walk between Lawrence until Eglinton.

Edwards Gardens' my husband's favourite garden, we normally go to this garden almost every weekend after our breakfast time, especially when it's sunny!!
As we arrived the parking, it's been so impressive that we never have any problem to get a spot for parking; even we came almost noon time and crowds of people were around.
Recently I found there are so many people comes with family and children, kids with their bikes and babies trollies, full with family funs and laughter everywhere!!
My husband went with the staff working on their plantation, lots of knowledgeable staff putting the new shrubs and nurseries in the planting areas, they are so friendly as to answer questions from people like my husband patiently and with lots of smile too, we are very impressed.
Lots of spots to explore from this garden to walk, play, watch...etc., whatever you feel tired, there's always seat available for your rest. There is a educational planting area to learn and lots to see as well on this area. This is very interesting to learn especially every time I come, I will find out the growing of some new plants.
