“What a beautiful gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

To leave Toronto by ferry heading towards Toronto Island is an adventure itself, but when you look back at Toronto, with its gleaming mirror forest of eclectic architecture set against an azure blue sky you realise the wonder contradictions that is Canada and especially Toronto, and Toronto Island.
The Island is a beautiful lake bound pocket of land that was a perfect day for us. We ate ice creams , hired one of the bikes and sunbathed on one of the many small beaches that face into the lake. I did dabble my toes in the water and boy , it was freezing so no chance of a dip, but it was achingly beautiful. There is evidence of 1960's type concrete areas which hopefully the Toronto council will remove as its quite ugly in this place of beauty. Though sad to leave after a wonderful restful day on the Island, that ferry trip but to Toronto, and the view again, more than made up for it. So when in Toronto you must visit the Island. Ps Rumour has it that one of the beaches has a clothing optionally mandate, hmmm missed that one.

“A little bit of country in the city.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

A fun trip on the ferry and lots to do. Rides, bicycle rental, lovely quiet walks, picnics, wander around on Ward's Island and see the cottages. Naked sunbathing at Hanlon's Point. Take your pick and enjoy. Beautiful views of downtown Toronto by day or night.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

Nice place to visit from May to September, you will take a Ferry to go there in 20 to 30 minutes, in the mean time you can enjoys the view to the skyline of the city, as well enjoy the shore of lake Ontario and the fresh breeze from the big Ontario Lake, while there you will enjoy no matter what is your wish, walk, run, seat, eat or just run with the flute, you have what ever you may need, restaurant, fast food, restroom, beach if you like to cool off, some fun games, place to be with small kids, with medium age children or growing up teen, and also many different areas to walk, with plenty of seats for you to relax with a good book to enjoy. If you have kids, this place it is a place to visit on spring or summer time. I am sure all of you will enjoy

“The Greener Side of Toronto”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

Toronto Island is a nice change from the busy city. Some touristic boats will guide you around the islands and talk to you about the history and particularities of the islands, but you can also walk on the island and enjoy the pleasant greener side of Toronto.
