Rooms are clean, renovated, soundproof (except for the door). Bed, pillows comfortable. Bathroom decent size with more than enough amenities and towels. Wifi works great. A/C works well, but except noise when it goes on (automatic). Complementary water bottles, coffee, tea.

Only downside, water was slow to drain last night. Advised the front desk for next guest.

Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs.

Hotel is close to eaton centre and very well located. Supermarket and convenience store a block away, so you can grab a snack nearby.

Overall, good stay and i would recommend it. Would stay there again next time I am in town.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel while visiting Toronto, in April. We had a corner room on the 19th floor and although fairly small compared to some hotel rooms, was very comfortable with windows along two walls, which gave it a lovely light airy feel. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have experienced and we have stayed in many hotels. The only problem I had was that being a little vertically challenged myself, the bed was a little high! It gave me quite a workout climbing into it at night. There was no suitcase stand in the room which is something which we missed having. Also although it was a renovated room drawers in one of the units were sticking a little & sometimes hard to open which gives the impression that the furniture won't stand up to much wear.We had two meals in the Hemisphere restaurant during our stay, which were both excellent, I would certainly recommend the fried fish & sweet potato fries.
The staff in all areas of the hotel were always very friendly and helpful and the downtown position is ideal for sight seeing.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated, corner room.

Completely revamped. We used to stay at the Metropolitan for the location. Since the renovations, it is really posh now. Service was excellent. Location is great - close to AGO, Chinatown, Kensington etc. Lai Wah Heen restaurant is phenomenal. Well worth the few extra dollars.

Dear Paula K

Thank you so much for posting your review of your most recent stay and I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. We do have an amazing location since we are right in the heart of downtown Toronto and that does give our guest such close access to places like Nathan Phillips Square, The Eaton Centre, Rogers Centre, China Town and so much more. Check-in was fairly straight forward, and the staff could not be more helpful. We had reserved a suite for our stay at time of booking, as it was my partner birthday. I notice that the hotel has only just recently become part of the hilton property portfolio, as such it clear that they are still adjusting to the Hilton way. However with a few hick ups, and minor attention to details everything was quickly resolved, and was done with a smile the whole way though as if nothing was not to much of an issue.

The room we were first given did not exist, this was fairly funny as it seem it was not updated with the hotel computer system as the hotel is still being renovated. However was given the right room, and although as a gold member was not upgraded at check-in we were upgraded as we had a kitchen area in the room. Room was very modern, and could tell that it was more or less brand new.

We made use of our breakfast voucher the first morning, and would say breakfast was so so. We upgraded to a full hot breakfast and was surprised that the food was cold at the buffet. I think their still a few kinks being sorted out, and we did mention this to the staff who quickly fix this by cooking everything fresh for us. Also notice the supervisor having a conversation with his staff to make sure that things like this don't happen again in the future. I was pleased with this as it shows they are trying, and I know they will have it right on my next visit. We did not go back for breakfast next day as we wanted to have brunch in Toronto, lots of great restaurants around the hotel.

Check out was easy, and when ask for cookies we we're greeted by another smile. Cookies at the hotel were great, and even in the hotel literature it saids they are more than happy to give you more just to keep you happy. Well it certainly made us both happy, and left a great impression on this new hilton property.

We left our bags was the bellman before we made our way to Toronto city airport, and this was all done with ease.

All in all great stay, and I know that everyone at the hotel is getting use to hilton way of things, however easy to overlook when they resolve issues, and have a very can do attitude to make you happy. Will defiantly be booking here again.

Dear HighFlyer27_UK

Thank you very much for taking the time to post a very detailed review of our hotel. Our guests feedback is so important to us in order to help us improve in the areas where we need it and to share the reviews with our associates so they can hear what our guests are saying about us. I am most happy about the comment about the staff having a can do attitude because we are going through extensive training to teach our staff that this is what it is all about. Thank you so much for staying with us and we hope we can welcome you back as our guest in the future.

Thank you,

We enjoyed our stay over Easter weekend. Very centrally located to all parts of downtown. We also requested a quiet room that met our expectations. Pleasant front desk staff. Free internet and printing.
