I stayed at the Hilton Doubletree for a birthday weekend July 26 to the 27th and I had an excellent time there except for a few customer service hiccups that were quickly resolved. The room was booked with Hilton Honors Points and I was surprisingly upgraded twice to a Specialty Suite on the 25th floor which I believe is one below from the top floor. Keep in mind only a standard room was booked. The service at the front desk was exceptional and anything that needed to be resolved was done right away. I was even given a late checkout when I requested it. They made every possible effort to make my stay comfortable. The only problem that stuck out in my head was the service in the restaurant at breakfast. The server was not polite at all and he was not courteous when telling me that the continental breakfast did not include hot items and that I needed to pay extra. I believe it came out to an extra $14 for both of us which is not a big deal at all, but it was the way this was presented to me. If only I could remember this server's name...he wasn't courteous at all and seemed annoyed to be there. However, when I brought up the surprise charge of more money for hot items at the front desk, they gladly picked up the check and told me not to worry about it. Overall a good experience.
