“Great building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2012

The Frank Gehry addition to the building is gorgeous and well integrated with the earlier structures. However, apart from the Canadian collection, the permanent holdings are not stellar. The AGO relies on a number of exhibitions, which target popular audiences and are more appropriate to a museum than a gallery.

“Be Open When They Are”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2012

There are some great things at the AGO.
The Group of Seven collection is classic, but don't miss the contemporary art in the new Frank Gary building's fifth and fourth floor.
Check out the Loring and Wyle section Emily Carr, and more.
It would be beneficial if they would show more of what's happening in Canada now. Give us more to see.
Keep open, there are rewards.

“Not a place I go to often.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2012

The Art Gallery of Ontario is a place I like to visit when they have displays of art from around the world. Cheaper than flying around the world to see them.
