Reviewed 1 September 2014

The AGO hosted a spectacular exhibition of Alex Colville's life work. It was brilliantly organised documenting not only the artist's life work but was also gave a glimpse into his life with his wife and family.

“Beautiful building and gallery”
Reviewed 1 September 2014 via mobile

Free admission on Wednesdays 6 - 8:30 pm.

The AGO is in my opinion a must in Toronto. If you happen to be there on a Wednesday make sure to go at night and check it out for free. Even if you do not find the time to go in, make sure to go by and enjoy this unconventional building from the outside.

“Group of Seven”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 via mobile

This is an amazing gallery with an abundance of Canadian content; the Group of Seven and many others :) The gallery space boasts beautiful architecture--make sure you get a few photos of the coiling stairwell in the atrium. Plan to spend at least three hours here. There is a cafe and coffee shop where you can rest and refuel. Volunteers take groups around the gallery and show off the highlights on a regular schedule. It is free with admission and very informative, so ask when you purchase your ticket.

“Lots to intersting things see”
Reviewed 28 August 2014

I could easily spend a full day here. There is lots of interesting art here. When I visited there were some really great photo composites by a local photographer showing sites in areas in or near Toronto. There was a comparison of how art was shown cramped together versus given large spaces. There are tons of great exhibits -- my favourites were the Canadian art showing the lives of everyday Canadians in the 17-18th century in Quebec, and the European art. However, there really is a diverse set of exhibits to see.
