Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre is at a convenient location from the train station (10.00 cab ride) or the subway is a 2 minute walk away from the hotel.
Underground parking is available.
There is a Loblaws 1 minute away with more hot/cold prepared food choices than you can count if you are on a budget. Breakfast buffet in the hotel was a good value and well presented and a very good wait staff.
The hotel rooms are a bit on the small side but very clean(second stay)
All the hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful***

Room Tip: Rooms not facing Carlton Street have a little less city noise if you are not use to the Big city noi...

Location: Good, easy to walk to subway, restaurants and an excellent supermarket.
Rooms: Too small for a family. There were no options to upgrade or get a more spacious room for a family of four.
Cleanliness: Below average.
Breakfast: Good, too expensive.
Room rate: good, but can fluctuate.

We arrived at this hotel at approx 8:30 am because my daughter had to be at an event downtown, the girl at the desk was wonderful, she checked us in and didn't even blink an eye that it was so early. We got an incredible price and the location was excellent. I didn't find the rooms any smaller than other downtown Toronto or Ottawa hotels and was fine for the 4 of us for the night. Great lobby with a restaurant, bar and gift shop. There was also a Starbucks connected. Parking was reasonable for a downtown hotel at $25 per day and you could come and go as you pleased. Kids eat free when accompanying an adult in there restaurant. The pool area was nice although we didn't have time to use it. This was the second Holiday Inn we stayed at during our trip and couldn't be more pleased with the chain. I will definitely be back! Only thing I can say bad that I can say is that the maid didn't clean the fridge.

This place has a great location, staff are very friendly and the rooms are in a good size. I'm not sure what people are moaning about maybe they are used to huge sizes.

The only problem I've encountered was the bath plug was not working, but I have mentioned it to the receptionist on check out.

I will defo recommend this place to everyone.

Great location, but rooms are 30 - 40% smaller than usual Holiday Inn space. Looked recently redone (and resized) but a number of things needed attention : Missing closet door, curtain too small for window, tub stopper not working at all, fancy adjustable shower slipped to bottom (awkward for 6'6" husband), burn marks in carpet of non-smoking room and exhaust fan in bathroom not functioning. The bed was not very comfortable, unless you prefer very firm and the pillows went almost flat. Also, pool area quite chilly.

Room Tip: If you don't mind everything smaller, no problem. If you want a tub they only have a few rooms t...

Stayed here in September 2013 for a whole month. Lets list the positives and negatives:

Positives:
1. Got an excellent rate.
2. Very near to College station just a 2 mins walk.
3. Rooms were clean and were cleaned regularly.
4. Friendly staff.
5. Heart of downtown.
6. Good breakfast option.

Negatives:
1. Really small rooms.
2. Bad options for lunch and dinner.
3. Rates can fluctuate at times.

Otherwise a very good hotel will give 4 out of 5 stars.
