Stayed here for Labor Day weekend with my wife. I used my Wyndham Rewards points to pay for the 4 night stay. We love Toronto and haven't visited in a number of years, so we were excited to come back and enjoy the downtown Toronto scene. The hotel was located in a great area, within walking distance to many great venues and sites. Our only complaint was the rooms were old and the furniture was dated. They need a lot of work to bring them to a more modern look. Bedding and towels were clean, but upon further inspection other areas were dusty. Felt as if only a very light cleaning is done and it's been a long time since a thorough cleaning of the room was performed. Bathroom had updated fixtures, but mold was found in the shower area. Room fixtures appeared to have been installed and held together or repaired with glue. Not exactly professional. If I would have paid for this stay with actually money, instead of points, we would have been extremely disappointed. If a full internal refurbishing is performed at this hotel, it would be a jewel in the making; however, for now it is just a place to lay your head at night.

This is a fairly average hotel to stay in. The large rooms had been recently refurbished so were of a decent quality during our stay. Housekeeping were very good and kept the place clean too. The hotel is within 10 mins walk of College subway station and 15 mins walk of CF Eaton shopping mall so is fairly well situated within downtown Toronto. However, I would perhaps avoid the local area late at night as there were some questionable characters hanging round outside past twilight.

A major issue we had was when we booked the room + breakfast package direct through the Ramada website. Upon going down to breakfast the first morning, we were handed a menu with a good selection of options by the waitress and upon telling her our room number, she said that guests who have booked a breakfast package must obtain a voucher from reception before breakfast each morning as proof of payment. We went to reception and they reluctantly gave us a voucher, after saying "this is very rare, you shouldn't have been able to book a breakfast package here". We then headed back to the restaurant, where they promptly told us that only 2 items on the menu are now available to us as we were not "full-paying customers"! Bitterly dissatisfied would be an understatement.

Overall, rooms and beds are nice and we slept well but staff attitudes and the dodgy breakfast deal, which we were effectively ripped off with, spoiled the experience for us sadly.

Stayed here from Monday to Friday.

Brilliant location in walking distance to everything.

Quite close to the Yonge–Dundas Square which is quiet central.

All staff especially Alec were extremely helpful will definitely stay again when I return.

This is my prefered hotel in Toronto. You can't beat the location - easy access to street cars and subway. Price wise I've had better deals here in the past and the parking seems ot have gone up quite a bit, but nonetheless you can't beat the room and convenience. The rooms are mini suites, very comfortable with mini fridge and sitting room. The bathroom is beautiful with a large marble shower. I loo0k forward ot returning

Room Tip: Get an upper floor room with a view of the city
