Did you ever walk by a restaurant and look inside and see happy people enjoying food in a relaxed atmosphere and wish you were there right now?
Do not walk past Cocina Lucero... open the door, step inside and enjoy!
You are greeted by a great host/bartender/server who could be your best friend in an instant. The menu is just right, the list of cocktails, cervezas, wines is good - make sure you try the Sangria... it is JUST RIGHT!
The dinner menu offer something for everyone - chicken, fish, beef, vegetables in a suitable price range - this is NOT taco bell's taquitera... it is excellent Puebla Mexican family cuisine where the house specialty Polio con Mole de Puebla will leave you full but craving for more; it is probably the most flavorful and smooth mole (outside of Mexico) I've ever had.

This restaurant is worth it!! The portion are moderate, the price minimal. ENJOY!!

A group of 7 of us went to Cocina Lucero while in TO for a conference. We visited on a Sunday night around 7:30 pm. A foodie friend had it on her list of restaurants to try. The restaurant is nice and clean and our waiter was courteous, helpful and encouraging of our attempts to speak Spanish. The food was good and prices were reasonable. I had a chicken "Burra" which was large and flavourful. The churros and Mexican hot chocolate were both quite good. Others in our party were quite impressed with their food and stated that they would eat there again. The frozen margaritas did not seem particularly potent that may have been just us - the guys liked the brands of beer that were available. A couple of us who had fallen in love with ceviche in Peru ordered it but were disappointed - that being said, others at the table gobbled it up! Definitely worth a try!

Sat outside and atmosphere felt like you we're in Mexico. Delish fish tacos w cabbage and a kick to the sauce. Guacamole to die for. Beef taco meat slow cooked, tender & shredded. Chicken was moist and flavorful - lots of leftovers and very reasonable

When we entered the resturant and we were told that the kitchen was closing in a 30 minutes. We said OK and were seated. When the waiter came back for our drink order and we gave him our dinner order as well. We felt very rushed. But there were three tables that came after us that were given time to order as well as chips and salas that we did not get. Putting all the lack of service a side the food was awesome, I guess we did not time it well.
