“Amazing stay”

I had an amazing stay at this lovely B&B. The shared bathroom is not an issue. The room and bathroom were very clean. Great breakfast and in general great vibe. Close to the subway station. Great neighbourhood. James the owner and his colleagues are amazing people, friendly and very helpfull. Thanks for the amazing stay!

My partner and I stayed here in late October. Very inviting place. Clean, modern decor in an old historic home. The innkeeper/manager James is not onsite but is in and out several times and always around breakfast for which he sets out a dizzying array of breakfast items. It is a self-cater set up with a sleek clean kitchen area. If you are on a budget or are restauranted out, about a 15 min walk south will bring you to the magic that is Loblaw's supermarket where you can grab all manner of yummy prepared foods and salads and take back to the inn to eat in the dining area. Bathrooms were kept clean and hot water was not an issue in the morning. If we return to Toronto again, this is where we will be happy to hang our hats again.

A self-serve breakfast with lots of choices, even for my restricted diet of no diary, corn, or wheat....just like home!
If you are staying in the main floor room, Acacia, be prepared to climb a set of stairs to the bathroom and possibly wait 30 minutes for your turn when it is occupied in the morning. Or there is a third floor bathroom but it was busy even when I made the extra climb. So if you have mobility issues the bathrooms could present a problem.
The B&B was within walking distance of nice restaurants, shopping, subway, and parking.
James was very efficient in answering all my questions and queries.
The house is cozy and warm and a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are close to the bathroom. No bathroom on the main floor for the Acacia R...

All I can do is confirm everything else the other reviewers have shared. The location is great, the price is great, my room (Iris) was really cute, and James is super nice and helpful. I especially liked the email he sent me right after I booked the room, which contained a lot of ideas for sight-seeing etc. Yes, when I was in my room during the day I could hear the other guests talking but even though it was New Year's Eve there was no noise by other guests that disturbed me later that night. I slept soundly. Breakfast was good.

Next time I need accommodations in Toronto I will check here before anywhere else.

We were very pleased with our choice. We were walking distance from many interesting places. The room was great, the kitchen and dining area was practical and available at any time. We really felt at home and welcomed. I will most certainly go back to this B&B. Public parking on Jarvis street, near The Keg, was cheap and close by.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay a lot! It was warm and cozy. We felt at ease during the whole weekend! Also, self served breakfast was an extremely good idea and everything is walkable from the Inn (gym, eaton centre, movie theatres, distillery district and markets). We will definitely go back and recommend it to friends visiting Toronto!

Room Tip: The suite for couple's intimacy is a must!
