“Fanatastic Pupuseria in Toronto”
Reviewed 11 May 2011

My wife whom is a Latina (new in Toronto), was feeling a bit of down-to-earth Latin food.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our drive down to another restaurant - a typical hole-in-the-wall that I usually love. And this was no different.

Sure, the aesthetics of the place wasn't the highest in Toronto, but that makes it all the more authentic.

An order of 5 pupusas ($2.50 each) of the Mixta, and Queso con Chicharon were both of very good value and very high quality and taste! With a couple of glases of tamarindo- the total bill with tip was about $20 - so the price was right too.

The cook - Tita (a Salvadorian), and the waitress of Peruvian descent were both EXTREMELY pleasant and completely made my wife feel at home.

For the combination of affordability, service and good food - we will definitely be frequent patrons.
