I gave this hotel a try recently on a business trip to Toronto. I really enjoy independent hotels. This place has a very cool hip feel. A little rustic and a little refined. The problem is that hip and cool has meant sacrificing functionality and practicality. Room was large, bed (very comfortable) is in the centre of the room meaning it is a very inefficient use of space. There is no closet nor dresser nor armoire only a small rack to hang clothes. Bathroom is beautifully designed with white marble on floors walls and counter but lighting is horrible...actually lighting over all is quite bad. The real draw back is the parking situation - there is a pay lot adjacent to the hotel however it is a flat rate from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, so what happens at 6;15 when your time is up? Knowing Toronto lot owners your car will be tagged and towed. Other option for parking is a block away - tough to drag any luggage that far. If they can get over trying to be so cool and think about the customer this will be great little hotel.
