“What a fun way to spend a day!”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

We took the Tasty Tour of the Kensington Market, and the experience certainly lived up to the name. We met Allison, our delightful guide, on a snowy January morning. Enjoying the enticing smells of a Chinese bakery and surrounded by their goodies, she educated us a bit on the sources of sugar. Soon afterwards, we were off sampling a variety of sweets at locations throughout the market. There were some shops we had visited previously, but we were taken to a number new to us. We got to sample some treats that were also new to us. It was quite fun as we talked with shop owners, chatted non-stop with our guide, and enjoyed the ambiance of the lively market area. The time flew by, and soon, the tour was over. We left with a bag of sweets acquired throughout the tour. We would very much recommend this tour for people visiting Toronto and for Toronto residents who want to see the Market from a new and fresh perspective. It is not at all strenuous so it would be very manageable for seniors or for those with children, We thought the cost was very reasonable for the memorable experience we had. Highly recommended!

“Fun filled tour”
Reviewed 16 January 2014

Ally our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and shown us some great restaurants to eat at which we normally would not have known. Kensington market was unique in its own way and we had a lot of fun!

“Really enjoyable jaunt around Kensington Market”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

This was my first time visiting Toronto (I had just touched down a few hours before!) and also my first time on a food tour - Audrey was extremely enthusiastic in introducing both Toronto and the many sweets on the Kensington Market tour. She fully employed visual aids and was also keen to answer any questions the small party had. I especially appreciated that some of the sweets introduced were from cultures which I would not get as much access to in my home country. It was a great and fun learning experience.

On a side note, it was also sweet to see her interactions with the shopowners she introduced to us in Kensington Market - she clearly had established, warm relationships with them which went beyond the purely commercial.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Toronto!

“Fun filled tour!”

Second time on the tour but that didn't stop me from enjoying the experience! Group was small but our tour guide Audrey still gave it her all. Super enthusiastic, it is clear to anyone who has met her the amount of passion she has for her business and for chocolates. Highly recommended activity for anyone visiting Toronto, or even for people that have been here a while. You'll be surprised at how much more there is to Toronto!

“Delicious!”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

I went on a tour a little while ago with Audrey. She was very knowledgable about all the treats as well as the history of Toronto. Everything was absolutely delicious and all the portions were just right. Definitely a must do when visiting Toronto or a great experience for locals who have never been to Kensington market!
