I really hate staying at hotels for work, but the Shangri-La was beautiful-- it's a haven in the heart of bustling Toronto. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the decor is simply elegant. The bed was comfortable, but the comforter was too heavy and I had to ask for a sheet to use instead. There was some street noise that could be heard through the windows, but when you're in the downtown of a metropolis, that's difficult to avoid. I did have a problem adjusting the thermostat, as I would have preferred it cooler in my room, but I didn't call down to ask for help, so there may have been an easy solution. I ate food catered by the hotel throughout the three days I stayed there for a business meeting and it was absolutely delicious.
