“Crowded!!”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 via mobile

If you must. ..do NOT go on a weekend. We waited for over an hour to just get in the door. People did not respect personal space and we couldn't wait to get out.
I'm wondering how many of the sea creatures die from thousands of people touching them.
We will never go back. It was not worth the money or the lineup.

Thank you for your review.

The safety of our animals is absolutely paramount at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada and we have a dedicated team of over 30 highly trained staff members working to ensure the health and welfare of our animals 24 hours a day.

The animals in our touch exhibits are very healthy. These species are found in touch tanks at zoos and aquariums around the world. We have actually witnessed breeding in our touch pool exhibits, which is a sure sign that our animals are thriving. The life biology and spatial utilization of all species were very carefully factored into our exhibit design and we make sure all of our animal habitats meet and exceed the international standards developed by the Aquarium and Zoo Association (AZA).

On another note, our peak hours fall from 10 am - 4 pm during weekends and holidays. We highly recommend buying tickets in advance on our website in order to skip the line and save more time. With this in mind, we hope to welcome you back for a better aquarium experience in the near future.

Thank you again for your feedback.

The aquariums are amazing. I would go again but preferably during the week when children are in school.

“Very busy during the day”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

The aquarium itself is amazing. They have done a great job. We went in August at 3pm with preordered tickets and the line , even for pre purchased was around the building. I found it very crowded especially with trying to navigate a stroller. They do a rgeat job getting that many people through at a time but if you don't want to be jostled and want to spend some time just looking I would suggest going later in the evening.

“All you think it will be... and more!!!”
Reviewed 21 August 2014 via mobile

Went to the aquarium on a Sunday morning at 9:30 am. We beat most of the crowd and we're able to walk straight in. Absolutely amazing to see what they have built, targeting marine life that I'd native to Canadian waters. We were there for 2 hours but I could've spent all day. The only drawback were the sore ankles from people pushing through with strollers.

An amazing exhibit for all ages. I will definitely be back again and again.

Thank you very much for the review.

Coming at 9 am is one of the best times to visit the aquarium. We are so glad you had a memorable experience and look forward to welcoming you again in the near future.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

We have been to many aquariums but this one is the best. Nicely laid out you don't feel rushed to get through the displays. Information plaques are very clear on what you are looking at. The underwater tunnel is awesome. You can be on the moving walkway or take your own pace. The different fish, sharks and rays that swim over and next to you is really a treat. There are places for kids to crawl into and through to get a close up look.
