Owner description: The Distillery District is an internationally acclaimed village of brick-lined streets and dozens of vibrantly restored Victorian Industrial buildings. It’s one of Ontario’s hottest tourist attractions and home to live theatres, galleries, fashion, design and jewelry boutiques, unique cafes and award-winning restaurants. It’s all completely closed to traffic and just a few minutes walk from downtown Toronto.

“christmas market”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 December 2013

The Distillery District is fantastic all year-round but it is especially magical in December during the annual Christmas Market. The cobblestone streets and local vendors make this area feel like stepping back in time! A great place to escape for a unique afternoon or evening

“A hidden gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013

For years we have been travelling to TO for both business and recreation and never did I know this location existed. After visiting the St Lawerance Market we walked a bit further into the Distillary District and I am so pleased we did. The Christmas decorations are all up and the spirit is alive and well. Lots of little unique shops and stands. Outdoor wood fires burning for heat and a great outdoor Canadian smell.
It's an short transit bus ride from Union Station for only 6 dollars.
It's reall worth fitting a visit in to this location, just dress warm this time of year as the winds can be cold off Lake Ontario.

“One of the Most Beautiful Spot in Toronto”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

If you are looking for a great place to bring your family or friends visiting you in Toronto, well this is your place. That is a place a friend of mine has shown me many years ago and I loved it.

This is a national Historic Site that has been preserved. You can find many awesome restaurants, bars, coffee shops, high end shops, etc. This is where the Mill Street Brewery is located. You could easily spend over 2 hours in the distillery district. In the winter, you can find The Christmas Market. There is a huge illuminated Christmas tree, many small booths where you can buy Christmas stuff, specialty German food, local foods, etc. I personally think that this place is a must for all visitors who want to see one of Toronto's best place to visit.

If you are driving there are three Green P Carpark around the Distillery District area.

“Neat area.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 December 2013

Very nice shopping area. It was out of the way and not convenient to walk to from downtown. But once we arrived, it was a nice area to stroll. Neat shops and restaurants.
