I visited Todmorden Mills not quite sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of things to see. The main building with its towering chimney now serves as a place for art exhibits. There are also a couple of historic houses nearby which I was able to get a tour of. My guide was friendly and very knowledgeable of the history of the houses and I definitely came away with some new perspective into 1800's life. There is also a small vegetable garden and walking trail on site to enjoy. I also love the fantastic view you get of the Don River Valley and the downtown Toronto skyline from the top of the nearby hill.
