Tess, Roger and Pia are great hosts.

Pro: great breakfast, simple, good variety continental, great position close to the hospitals, Kensington market. and china town. Easy walk to places. Meet some interesting people and can have a chat. about 10 restaurants within 30m walk of the front door. Quiet. Rooms good size, comfortable beds.

Con: have to share a bathroom as is a B&B (if this is something you care about). Otherwise no concerns.

Good place to have as a base, cheap and very accommodating. You get to meet some interesting people and have a good chat.

Our family from South Australia booked all the rooms for 9 nights in July whilst there for our son's wedding to a " local girl". It was fabulous on every level....large clean ,well set up bedrooms, tv lounge, beautiful al fresco area outside, large homely dining area for lengthy breakfasts.daily cleaning, an enormous selection of cafes and restaurants literally on the doorstep...even a laundromat 3 doors away.Tess, Roger,Pia and Holly were wonderful facilitators of this establishment.Wecertainly appreciated using the facilities one evening for a BBQ wIth the inlaws ( who we'd never met) as they lived about 45 mins away.also, we held a bridal High Tea one afternoon for about 20 females.it was perfect for our needs.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sullivan with Innkeepers Roger, Tess and Pia on a recent trip to Toronto. Accomodations and service were exceptional. We will definitely stay there next time we visit! Susan, Jim & Colin Mooney, Victoria, BC

We stayed with Roger and Tess this past week when in Toronto for Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference. We wanted to be near everything but in a quieter location than the big hotels. We ended up in their smaller location over on Sullivan Street. The rooms were great...spacious, nicely laid out and comfortable. There was great desk space too. Nice place to stay when in Toronto.

For us this was the perfect choice - friendly and welcoming owners, good facilities, breakfast provided with cheese omelette being Roger's speciality and nothing being too much trouble for our hosts. We especially liked the way that all guests ate at the same table as this gave the chance to chat to people from other countries. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable and the absence of an en suite did not cause any problems. Situated in an area with many restaurants to choose from and the whole locality had a warm and friendly atmosphere so we felt safe at all times. A great place, great people and a great time.

Room Tip: It doesn't really matter although a room on the first floor will give direct access to an outsid...

We recently stayed at the Baldwin Village in for one night while my husband was attending a conference. The inn is located on a lovely street surrounded by restaurants and cafe's. It is a short walk to Chinatown, Kensington Market, Queen Street West and the Eaton centre. Tess and Roger were excellent hosts. They made sure that we were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Even eggs made to order, and although I didn't have any I heard the cheese omelette was pretty stellar!! The room was clean and comfortable, we would definitely stay here again!!

Great location, especially for downtown and the hospitals which I was visiting. Breakfast included, owners very friendly and helpful.
Great for a B&B feel, not for folk who want the luxury of a five star hotel.
