We went to Toronto to see Les Miserables at the Princess of Wales theatre. This hotel was just a few blocks from the theatre and great restaurant options on King Street. It is in the shadow of the CN Tower. Our room was spacious and had a full kitchen. The bathroom sink was separate from the shower/toilet so that made mornings easier. We had a queen bed and pull out sofa. The sofa mattress was very thin, which is fine for children, but would not be a good option for adults. They had a hostess seat you for the free breakfast, which resulted in a bit of a wait, but kept the breakfast room from getting overly crowded. Good options for breakfast, too. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough towels/wash clothes in the room when we checked in. The reservation was for 4 people, but we only had 3 bath towels and 2 wash clothes? Also, the wait for an elevator can be lengthy.

Room Tip: We were on the 15th floor facing the CN Tower and the room was very quiet.

Close to everything you need with friendly staff, cozy comfortable rooms and great location. The staff were happy to help with any arrangements required and were always available to you. Anytime you are in Toronto in the downtown core I would stay here.

If you are in a business trip or you want to visit the city with you are looking for big and adequate rooms, good value, very good location this is a very good choice, but if you want something special, you are better off with other alternatives. This is just a good typical Corporate mid range hotel

This is a great upper-mid level hotel with very good customer service and large rooms. The location is just a couple of blocks from a number fo bars/clubs and th neighborhood is very safe. Additionally, I could even walk to both the St Lawrence Market (20 minutes) and the Distillery Area (30 miuntes) very easily. For a rate of approx. $200 USD a night, it was a great value for the city center. Only negative were the low quality towels and sheets in the room. I believe Marriott should upgrade the quality of both at a location like this.

Room Tip: Ask for a complimentary upgrade to a one bedroom suite.

My grown daughter and I stayed here for our weekend in Toronto...every time we go to Toronto we stay in a different hotel...this by far has been the best! Every single staff member from front desk to cleaning staff always greeted us with a hello, how are you...we stayed in a studio...the weekend promotion offered free wifi, free valet and parking which would have been 40 dollars a night...complimentary breakfast buffet...full gym...great place to stay...close to everything downtown.

Room Tip: If going for a weekend...get the package deal...you save a lot!

We have just returned from our first trip to Canada. Toronto was amazing however the hotel had a lot to do with making our trip. We were there with friends, we had adjoining rooms, and when I say room, it was more of a self contained, nicely decorated flat. I could have lived there, lovely little kitchen, huge bed and just nicely decorated. The staff were all so friendly, location was brilliant, the CN tower just a short walk, take a tip pay the extra and have lunch up there worth the money. The breakfasts were great something for everyone, and the three nights of food in the evening meant we didn't eat out, all free. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would look at booking with this chain again, though any hotel will have to go some yo match this. A definite thumbs up

We have stayed at most top rated hotels in Toronto, and we do believe that this is the one that offers the best value for money.

The hotel is very well located, a short walk away from the CN tower and surrounding attractions, dining and theatres. It is clean, nicely decorated and the rooms are very spacious and convenient. I don't know how old this hotel is, but the rooms look new and well maintained. They include a small kitchen with a dining table, as well as a seating area. Our bathroom was basic and small but clean. Staff at the Residence Inn is very helpful and attentive. Valet is the only parking option, which is not the usual arrangement for a Residence Inn, but is in line with other hotels in downtown Toronto. We called to request our car and it was waiting for us by the time we made it downstairs.

I can honestly say that we don't have any complaints about this hotel. It does not offer the luxurious finishes, fireplace or marble bathroom found at the Trump or the Ritz, but it has all you need for an enjoyable stay at half the price. I believe that this hotel is the one offering the best value for money in downtown Toronto.
