Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. This location advertises RV and bus parking. Was travelling with a small trailer (approx 12ft long), called the location the day before, made a reservation and confirmed parking for my truck and trailer. Upon arrival, was told that they couldn't park a trailer, would have to back it into an angle parking row with the other guest passenger vehicles, when I suggested driving the truck/trailer across 2 spaces, was told they would tow me! Had to jack knife the trailer into the line up, taking 2 parking spots, unhook and park the truck in another space. All totalled, 3 spaces taken. At check in, had to dispute the room cost provided when making the reservation, however, had a confirmation number and they did honor the rate. All this happened during a major snow storm....summary, accomodations are good, customer service is terrible. Felt like I was being "scammed". No repeats for me!

Room Tip: Book on-line as it is cheaper, obtain a confirmation number

Hotel Canada best value inn is located in Evans Avenue Toronto. The hotel is having clean rooms and bathrooms though the place is bit old. The hotel serves good food though not multiple cuisines. The hotel is about 9 miles from downtown toronto and is at an average location. The service staff is prompt and good and also very helpful. Overall this hotel offers value for money being a budget hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is clean and the rooms are small but cozzy.

The hotel is about 20 min from downtown Toronto (if you take your car to it watch out for highly parkingcosts. TIP: park your car under new cityhall you pay around 16 dollar for a whole day, much cheaper then other parkings).

If I visit Toronto again i would choose another hotel that's closer by downtown, but like i said already this is a good proper discount hotel.

The employees are very nice but they run the place like a crash pad. I was here 4 days for medical treatment and saw too many problems to consider returning. The downstairs down is propped open all the time and people(employees as well) are allowed to smoke right beside the entrances. The place is old and a little tacky re decorations and is rough around the edges. One night one of their maintenance man(I didn't know he was an employee til I asked) had an ice bucket with beer in it and was drinking right at the front entrance. This is NOT conducive to a place that cares about their guests. The back entrance was propped open most of the day and presented a little worry to my wife and I. Again, NOT conducive to a properly run hotel in Toronto. The rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable, but I found it necessary to check the beds and sheets for blood spots and bedbugs which I did not find thank goodness. But we told the cleaners to not enter our room during our stay as I did find several dead cockroaches on the floor in the rear entrance, which I might add, was only several feet from the garbage containers. People came and went at all hours and the smell of marijuana in the hall upstairs was apparent and with the doors always open, it was hard to know who was a guest and who was there to party with others. They offer very little for breakfast and the apple juice was empty for two days even though I alerted them the first day. It was the second time I told them that they finally filled it. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours. 2 types of dry cereal were offered the first two days only, then it was muffins and a few danishes and croissants. I went to get coffee one evening and the cups were down to three and no lids. I mentioned this and the one employee looked under and said there were none. The desk girl went and got some but they didn't bother filling the cups until my second trip as if it didn't matter. Our door did not close on its own and we had to shove it hard to make it close, something I didn't notice until I went out and returned. I didn't say anything because the one gentleman during the day was more engrossed with his computer than the guests. The girl when we checked in though was excellent in everyway. We were shocked when going through the channels and found the pornographic channel up and running. I HATE and DESPISE pornography and immediately complained that my Christian values and personal feelings had been insulted by this "oversight" as I was told that they are usually turned off and blocked. What if someone had children and left them to watch tv for a few minutes even? They said they offer "free movies" so I believe they leave that filth on here. I'll give them benefit of the doubt on this one as the nice desk girl told me they were usually blocked. She did it right away as I don't even want that garbage in my room. Unless there are several issues taken care of, I'll neither return nor recommend this place unless someone doesn't care about my comments and wants a cheap place to stay that is fairly quiet despite being beside the 401 and has fairly clean rooms. My sleep quality would have been better except for the nervousness I had regarding the issues mentioned.

Room Tip: Take what they offer as one is no different than the other.

Two star (at best) motel rooms on second floor of the property are dingy but exceptional housekeeping staff do their absolute best to provide comfortable budget quarters for those who aren't fussy. Beds were neatly made and clean and the bathroom was tidy with ample towels.

For the fourth night of my four night stay, I was moved to a kitchenette room on the first floor of the property and I feared the worst. To my great surprise, the first floor kitchenette room is a modernized mini-suite with full sized, modern appliances, a flat screen TV and a king sized bed -- by far the best cut rate motel room where I've ever stayed and earning a personal four stars. No in-room closet, lack of comfortable seating and the general feeling that this is a budget motel (even though the room is terrific) put my rating at four stars. The staff at this property are beyond five stars. Front desk staff are cheerful and efficient. The neighbourhood, like the second floor motel rooms, is tired but not unsafe. WiFi worked well and complimentary breakfast was basic but appreciated.

Room Tip: Book the kitchenette rooms on the main floor -- best value in Toronto by far.

My wife and I paired up on a vacation with another couple and headed to Toronto. I stumbled upon this "Newish" inn on the outskirts of Toronto (west) of the city...rooms were smallish for American standards, but contained Flat Screen, small fridge, and small but INCREDABLE shower.
Located next to a Mall ( Sherway Gardens ) and near a subway this proved to be invaluable because The Dundas stop was the last on this modern-clean subway with loads of parking (daily is cheap ) and because once you are onboard the subway transfers are included...unless you are going to be there a week, the subway one way daily fairs are hard to beat...the 4 of us could go into and out of Toronto for less that a days downtown Parking...
This Inn is near restaurants (Like Cora's) a delicious- pricey French breakfast place...and since we were on the tours all day, by the time we ate at pubs in downtown Toronto and took the subway home, we all were ready for bed...

Also, Internet is good and included...their price is great.

We were going to the Toronto/New York Yankees game and wanted a place to stay that was outside of downtown. I found this place on expedia but went directly to the website to make the reservation. The place was easy to find and was in a quiet residential neighborhood. It was only 10 miles from Roger's Centre even though it took a little longer than expected to get to the game it was worth staying outside of downtown. The price was half of what you would pay to stay at the Super 8 downtown. There was a mall not far from the hotel and we found a nice restaurant for both dinner and breakfast the next morning. There was also a sports bar that we stopped at that was very accommodating. Would definitely stay there in the future.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor and it was very quiet. The only noise came from the a/c which didn'...
