When I booked the room, I expected an economy hotel. What we got was a room that looked even better than the photos on the website. I was travelling with 4 adults and a small child so we booked a room with 2 Queen beds and a pull out sofa. We expected to be pretty cramped for space but the room was huge! When we opened the curtains on the window we were staring down into the mall. This would have been quite a shock but luckily I read reviews on here before booking the hotel and expected it. My 3.5 year old daughter loved watching people ride up and down in the glass elevator and spent quite a bit of time waving at random shoppers. It kept her busy so that was a bonus. The room was clean and quiet and the beds were firm. The bathroom was very basic but large. The bathtub was sitting on a 6" platform, which was quite awkward. My family is short so a grab bar would have really helped getting in and out. My parents both slipped due to the extra height.

Location-wise, this is an awesome choice for a hotel. There is underground parking directly below (entrance around the back of the hotel - it's clearly marked) and is only $10/day. The streetcar stop is literally right in front of the hotel and there are plenty of shops around.

The big downside to this hotel is the breakfast. There wasn't much variety and it was all carbs. A lot of the equipment appeared to be outdated... only one waffle machine alerted you that it was done cooking (despite the instructions for both saying it beeps when it's done) so most people were burning their waffles waiting for it to beep. The breakfast area and hallway smelled of burned waffles both days we were at the hotel. There were two 4-slice toasters and only one half was working in each. Nobody around us had any sort of brown on their bagels or bread - toaster simply seemed to heat up the bread a bit. Juice from the machine was warm. The only non-carb related items were oranges and apples... both were hard as a rock and unripe. My daughter enjoyed her fruit loops but she also eats dirt so I don't trust her culinary judgement. I'd skip the breakfast or don't expect much from it.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the mall are quiet. Mall traffic is very low.

We stayed one night at this hotel and really enjoyed it. We stayed here as we had tickets to see the Lion King. It is in the heart of Chinatown and there really is a lot to see! WE parked in the hotel underground parking which was only $10.
Room was very clean, staff were friendly and the breakfast had really good selections. You could make nice Belgian waffles which the kids loved.
The room also had a fridge and a microwave in it which I thought was super bonus!!
We will definitely use this hotel again when we visit downtown Toronto!

We stayed at this hotel while on our son's wish trip. It is a lovely hotel on a busy street with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The only down side is parking as it's in an underground area and if you have a larger vehicle, it's hard to maneuver around.

Room Tip: The parking is in the back of the hotel with entrance through a mall from the street. If you need to...
