“great place to just chill”
Reviewed 26 May 2013

I came at the recommendation of my brother who was visiting Toronto for my son's wedding. I came on a Saturday afternoon to take a mental break from all the wedding activities. Though I started inside, as soon as there was a place outside, I was able to transfer my table with no problem. I ate a simple lunch. An antipasti plate, bread and house salad....with a glass of Soave. Food was good, but as simple, I can't critique a more complicated dish.
Service was very good. Enough attention and neglect for a solo dinner wanting to relax. Seemed to always be there when you wanted service. Clearly some servers are just trai ing for the busy summer months, but enough experienced ones that it didn't really affect service.
Clearly a favourite spot for families, tourists, and the locals. Another plus is the free wifi if you ask for it. The outdoor patio is facing the sidestreet so not noisy. Plenty of umbrellas for shade, and you don't notice the smoking section.

“Nice restaurant”
Reviewed 21 May 2013

My sister and I ate here on our last day in Toronto, and both of us left happy. Reasonably priced, has different specials on each day and the staff are friendly/courteous.

Would defo recommend as a lunch date with mates especially on a hot day when you can sit outside and ppl watch :)

“best little italian cafe restaurant in Little Italy”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

We went there on a nice weekend day of Spring. Toronto Little Italy is beautiful and the people are friendly. This Cafe is located at the intersection of College & Clinton St. Certainly one of the best Italian food & affordable! The Friendly Service, food & Sangria on the patio will make your day!! Love it!

“feel like home”
Reviewed 5 April 2013

very nice staff, affordable prices and very good and tasty food. Is a good place to have a good lunch, dinner or a simple snack. The cafe diplomatico is a good restaurant to any season but it is excellent at summer time.
