I came at the recommendation of my brother who was visiting Toronto for my son's wedding. I came on a Saturday afternoon to take a mental break from all the wedding activities. Though I started inside, as soon as there was a place outside, I was able to transfer my table with no problem. I ate a simple lunch. An antipasti plate, bread and house salad....with a glass of Soave. Food was good, but as simple, I can't critique a more complicated dish.
Service was very good. Enough attention and neglect for a solo dinner wanting to relax. Seemed to always be there when you wanted service. Clearly some servers are just trai ing for the busy summer months, but enough experienced ones that it didn't really affect service.
Clearly a favourite spot for families, tourists, and the locals. Another plus is the free wifi if you ask for it. The outdoor patio is facing the sidestreet so not noisy. Plenty of umbrellas for shade, and you don't notice the smoking section.
