What a wonderful evening for 26 of our closest friends. We were able to reserve a beautiful private room looking over the city of Toronto to host a birthday party for my husband. We had amazing service, passed appetizers, wine and drinks while mingling with good friends before sitting down to a wonderful meal, the lamb, beef, fish were all excellent. Wonderful flavors. They were able to accommodate the vegetarians as well as the gluten free. Dessert was a chocolate mousse or a butter tart. Again, the service, the ambiance, the view were all amazing. We started at 7.30pm and did not feel rushed at all. We left close to 1am. Every detail I was worried about was taken care of - down to a printed, personalized menu with my husband's picture on it for his birthday!

Canoe impresses from the moment you step out of the lift on the 54th floor.
You really need to book to a) insure you can get in & b) reserve one of the window tables looking out over the CN Tower & Downtown Toronto.
Once you've taken in the view you now need to decide what to eat & drink... not the easiest of tasks given the selection on offer but the staff are very informative about all the dishes.
We had a fantastic 3 course meal and whilst expensive you really do get what you pay for.

I have been eating here regularly since having our wedding reception back in 2006. It has to be the best restaurant in Canada. The view from the 54th floor is spectacular on its own but the ambiance as soon as you walk in is exciting-it feels like you’re somewhere special without being over the top. The sommelier is renown, the chef is second to none and the serving staff are extremely attentive. The menu is forever changing with the seasons and the wine selection is beyond exceptional. It excites me to eat here- I describe it as a celebration for the mouth. I cannot stress enough that you must eat here.

Excellent food in an exceptional location, with a panoramic view of Lake Ontario. The menu focuses on food sourced from all over Canada. The foie gras from Quebec was delicious, as was the venison , duck and lamb. All beautifully presented. Bring your platinum card, it is expensive!

I am usually a bit suspicious of restaurants on roof tops because they sell the novelty of the location over the quality of the food. Canoe is an exception to that rule. The view is amazing: 54 stories up, looking down on Union Station and pretty much everything around you. The interior is also very well done with a modern minimalist style and great lighting. Good bottled beer selection, good cocktails and the one dish I tried was great. Service was also very friendly. Will visit again for a meal and it might earn an extra point. Not typically open on the weekends, but it was Mother's Day so it was an exception.
