went to Canoe with six important clients in from California. Didn’t know what to expect as I know Canoe is well known for romantic dinning but this was with clients. I called ahead make a reservation an d to let them know it was a special occasion. We arrived and had a cocktail at the bar and enjoyed the amazing view of the city and had a chat with the friendly bartender. The views from the top floor of the TD tower were very impressive, you could see the beautiful night lights of the city and you could also see across Lake Ontario to the USA. From the moment we sat down the service was amazing the food and wine selection was first class. The sommelier introduced us to some wonderful wines including a very nice Canadian wine. The food was second to none and the service was impeccable. As soon as the timing was right they staff elegantly swooped in on the table and almost magically the dishes disappeared.

From the moment we sat down everything was as it should be the food service and ambiance were inline with the best dinning I have experienced worldwide. I was told be two of my discerning guests that this was the best meal they had every had. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to make a lasting imprecision on someone special or just there tastebuds!

Its worth noting that this is a special night out and food is priced accordingly and requires the appropriate attire

The manager of Luma, another restaurant in the O&B family, suggested we might enjoy dinner here and kindly offered to see if he could get us a table. We were stunned to find we were sitting at the chef's rail, with views not only of the city from the 54th floor, but also the of the fascinating work going on in the kitchen. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated like valued guests, with superb service and fabulous food and wine.

We were privileged to spend time talking to John Horne, the head chef, who's worked in some of the best restaurants in our home town (London). He explained how his ingredients are sourced and selected, which resulted in total indecision over what to order. Every dish contains seasonal ingredients (some of which are unfamiliar to us as visitors to Canada), and there's currently a rotating province-influenced tasting menu. The night we were there it was British Columbia; having visited BC quite a lot we weren't sure if we wanted to eat a menu totally from there, and John sensed our hesitation and offered to go off-piste and create something based on our likes and dislikes, incorporating some of the dishes from other provinces. What followed was a feast that looked and tasted stunning, including the beautiful desserts created by Robert Gonsalves. It's impossible to pick out any one particular dish so I won't even try, but there wasn't anything we didn't like, or felt could have been done better, and we appreciated the passion in the cooking. The wine pairings were equally imaginative and delicious. Oh, and the breads and special butter were fabulous too.

We're not glamorous types, and we really appreciated being greeted and treated so warmly in such an amazing restaurant. The view of the sun setting over Toronto was a treat in itself, but the people who work at Canoe are the stars of the show.

You can eat here relatively inexpensively or you can push the boat out (no pun intended). Either way, prices seemed very reasonable for the quality of food, wine and service, and the bill was less than we'd expected. The views were an added bonus.

This was my second visit to Canoe, both times for business meals. The menu is great, incorporating atypical ingredients into almost every dish. I can't imagine how many suppliers they must use to get all of the niche products that they use.

Portion size and price are not bad at all when compared to similar restaurants, and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is great, as is the view when the weather cooperates.

Delicious food, an unbeatable view, great service and atmosphere, Canoe is one of the better restaurants in Toronto. During the day, the lunch scene is mostly lawyers on business lunches, and at night the dining experience stays consistent with a refined crowd, enjoying an exceptional meal. From the fish, soups, meat entrees and appetizers, everything you find on the menu will be well prepared, executed to perfection and presented nicely. Great for a special occasion, you certainly "get what you pay for."

We visited this restaurant for dinner arriving just before 8 pm. We had a drink at the bar before moving to the table. We were a party of six and were seated in the middle of the restaurant. We found the menu limited. Four of our party had mushroom soup for starters...very home made taste and delicious bread.
The two who didn't choose starters were brought something to nibble on.
Main courses chosen were two lamb, one duck and four steak. Food was tasty...But them so has every piece of steak I have eaten in Canada. Portions not huge.
The wine we chose wasn't available....so another was brought that was similar.
Nobody chose dessert, think the waiter realised we were a bit fed up so asked if we wanted the bill.
We parked in a car park below the restaurant and if you take your ticket up you get free parking.
On a previous trip to Toronto we visited the CN Tower and also ate there....much better view, better value for money and a much better experience.
