Description: Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

Few restaurants that I have come across have a longevity and consistently excellent food and service as is one. In a delightful setting, always buzzing with people Scaramouche HAS moved with the times by constantly updating IRS menu and producing outstanding dishes. If I have one complaint it's the lack of reasonably priced wines.

Top of our list when people visit. Either the pasta bar or main restaurant. But book early and get those tables with a view of Toronto! Goes without saying: food is excellent! Make sure you have a map before you order a cab; restaurant is really hidden away, but worth the hunt!

My wife and I had not eaten t Scaramouche for several years. It had been our favourite place for wedding anniversary dinners when we were both working. So, our kids gave us a money to go there for our 50th anniversary dinner. It is every bit as good as ever. Interesting menu and creative daily specials. The service was near perfect. Not hovering but nearby and available when wanted. The wine list matches the quality of everything else. And our waiter was as good a sommelier as any in all but a few Toronto restaurants. After discussion we took his advice and enjoyed every glass. The wine (several glasses and a1/2 bottle) cost more than the food; but, was worth the splurge.

We will go back again soon.

We made a reservation for Scaramouche based on TripAdvisor reviews and ranking - wow, were we ever in for a pleasant treat! We were seated at the window that overlooked the beautiful Toronto skyline (without requesting this table). Our waiter was very knowledge, friendly, and made great suggestions about wining pairings for our meal. The amuse-bouche was a great way to start the evening. We ordered the Warm King Crab and Spicy Steak Tartare for appetizers. For our main meal, we decided to order the Sea Scallops and Filet Mignon. For dessert, we ordered the Coconut Cream Pie and Ontario Rhubarb, both with tea. Everything was delicious, made to our liking, and creatively presented. The restaurant was very busy - we did not, however, feel rushed throughout the evening. Having dined at several of the top rated restaurants around the world, we felt that this restaurant made our 'top restaurants' list. We loved it and cannot wait to return again.
