Good sized restaurant, staff very friendly and efficient. Good menu choice, although a tad on the expensive side. Service is quick and portion size is good, no rush to move you on. Overall a good ambiance, would definitely eat there again.

What a nice surprise! We will definitely be adding this restaurant to our list. We went as a party of four and each one of us had a delicious meal. The food is prepared fresh and nicely presented. The portions are not oversized and but we never left hungry. The wine list had a good variety of choices as well as beer and cocktails. Our waitress was lovely and helpful with suggestions. Overall a really good dining experience and we look forward to our next visit.

The Pear Tree is a good choice to go for a bite to eat at any time of day. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing.

If you're looking for a hip place to dine, and see & be seen, this is not your place. But it will do well for a simple meal out.

Don't hesitate to eat here, but don't expect fireworks.

With tonnes of Cabbagetown options, I keep coming back here. For a few reasons. First, this is the first restaurant in Toronto that has won over my curmudgeonly dad and it is almost entirely due to their excellent service. When he asked for a cold Kingfisher, he got it chilled and poured perfectly at the table with panache. He asked for "good fries " and got delightful piping hot straight out of the fryer fries.

The restaurant had a brilliant back patio that they sometimes make the kiddie table for me and my eclectic friends. We sing into Soundhound and see who gets the most positive matches. I sang Celine Dion and the waiters chimed in with harmony. They are fantastic.

The food is reliable. The prime rib is always excellent. The service is the best in Cabbagetown in my opinion. If you value being treated like a person and not like a nuisance, avoid HOP and go to the Peartree.

An excellent local Cabbagetown restaurant, very friendly staff. We went for brunch during the Cabbagetown Festival, the TTC breakfast was great, full english style breakfast. A friend had the Gazpacho soup (which they raved about) and the Cajun stirfry which they liked alot. A nice
looking patio out back and during the festival they had seating in the front on the street. It is
a nice relaxing atmosphere. Two thumbs up !!
