What a great experience during summerlicious this year!! Great menu options all cooked to perfection. The lamb chops were incredible and the Italian meat lovers pizza was to die for!!! A must on college for sure. Pleasant wait staff and attentive service added to the experience!! Thank you Vecchio Frak!!

“Mediocrity Lives Here”
Reviewed 14 June 2012

My friend and I had reservations for this spot in Little Italy. The décor is lovely and on a warm day they throw open the glass doors so that diners can enjoy the nice weather and street life. We were there on a week night. I ordered the gnocchi Vecchio Frak which the menu described a homemade potato dumplings with arugula, cherry tomatoes and Portobello mushrooms topped with shaved parmigiano cheese and arugula. The meal present was quite different. The gnocchi did not taste or look homemade. The sauce was an overcooked tomato sauce with nothing reminiscent of cherry tomatoes or mushrooms and arugula. Our waitress was generous with adding the parmigiano cheese though. My friend ordered the ravoline al radicchio described on the menu as homemade squash ravioli with radicchio and Italian sausages tossed in a light cream sauce. Although the meal was adequate, again, it did not compare to the menu’s description. We ordered tartufo for dessert but was told that it was not nor were several other items on the dessert menu. From our experience, there is little to recommend this dining spot.

Reviewed 8 April 2012

Located in the “Heart” of Little Italy, at 690 College Street, Vecchio Frak brings to you the ambiance of a classy restaurant lounge with a European flavour. The friendly, relaxed atmosphere is appropriately balanced in a stylish designed décor which provides the perfect setting for an intimate date.
