This restaurant has gone downhill badly since I last went. Not sure if it's under new management but everything was mediocre at best. I will not go again as there are so many great restaurants in this area and this one won't survive with this quality of food.

Our first night back in Toronto & my partner & I shared a beautiful meal @ this excellent street side Restuarant.
We had a lovely table sitting outside & able to enjoy all the excitement that a Saturday Night in Toronto offers.
Lots of colour & friendly people.
Our food was superb & our service was great.
It was a pleasure to be there & highly recommend Le Saint Tropez to other locals & travellers alike
To enjoy its culinary skills

Around 3 i stopped or omelet du jour. it was perfect. Cheese melted just right, not too dry, not too wet. Chocolate mousse was delicious. I sat on the sidewalk or enjoyable people watching. Staff was accommodating and helpful (with gluten info) though not very attentive for such things as refilling water or being prompt with bringing or taking check. Tip: have cash ready so you don't have to wait for change.

For the price, this was terrible. Salad had to be returned due to the wilted lettuce. The entre, chicken was mediocre. Will not b e going back, and will not recommend.

It was a rare 'date night', and we were looking for a place to go to prior to a show at the theater. As we wanted to avoid chain restaurants, but not spend too much we used the local restaurant guide provided by Mirvish on line (ticket sales)... well, we perused the menus of various places, and although we were tempted by another restaurant, we chose St. Tropez Bistro. VERY glad we did - it gave a $$ out of 4 $$$$ dollar signs and i would say that is accurate. They offer an affordable 'menu prix fixe' for 24-35 dollars CDN and it offers a good selection. We opted to venture on to the main menu; my husband having the Liver and LOVING it - and myself having the duck a l'orange. Also wonderful. Service was very good - fast - almost too fast! (ha! - i won't complain about that) and i can't say we had the same experience as a previous poster. Our service was perfect. The 2 hours we gave ourselves worked out perfectly once we doddled and ordered cheese plates and port for dessert). They had a sweet musician playing piano and signing a variety of songs in a "Blossom Dearie" style. I really enjoyed her - she was neither too loud, nor distracting, but just right. All in all - food was great, wine list varied, desserts yummy and varied and service was fab. With the alcohol and desserts, we did spend a lot, but this was a rare and needed 'night out' for us. Enjoy and Bon Appetit! We will be going back - to either Tropez or Marcel's upstairs.
