“Amazing food and service!!!”
Reviewed 28 October 2013 via mobile

Had the best experience in a long time at this amazing Charlottetown restaurant in PEI.. Jeff, manager and bartender, was so hospitable and personable that we left the restaurant gaining a new friend. He even taught my wife and I how to shuck oysters as he had some free time.. What an experience! Jenn, our server, was amazing and courteous always checking up on us... Food was absolutely delicious and original.. No wonder this place has been around for the past 25+ years!! Had the oysters and Galway Bay dishes...

“Oysters and Dessert.”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

We ate here a few nights ago and it was wonderful. We had an early reservation (around 6:30) so the place was pretty empty.
We had 2 each of every fresh oyster they and then skipped meals and went straight for dessert. I had the sorbet selection, they didn't have a selection that night but they did have house made ice cream and a apple pie sorbet, which tasted exactly like apples were melting in your mouth.
My fiancé had the feature dessert which was a house made maple and bacon cruler and I have to say it was the best dessert I have ever eaten.
Only thing that I would suggestion improvement on would be their entree selections, we skipped entrees because they weren't that interesting.
Also the staff seem to like to hover around the bar and considering our table was right next to the bar we had the company of 4 servers backsides right next to us and a bartender who were all talking about what they were doing tonight and other things in their lives. (Professionalism at it's finest).
I know it was slow but if there is time to lean there is time to clean. Great job to the kitchen but front of house needs a bit of supervision.

“Best Oysters Rockefeller”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Not the cheapest restaurant in town, but excellent food, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. Reasonable wines and, being attached to the pub upstairs, a nice selection of beer. Even my wife, who won't normally touch oysters, loved my Oysters Rockefeller. Fresh, sweet and perfect.

Great food, the waitress was from originally from Ontario which is were we are from. Good service. Our group was 16 people and I think we all had something different, no one was disappointed. Very good experience.

“Nearly Very Good...but”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

Recommended by several folks for their oysters this part was worth the visit. Good steamed mussels and good Irish Coffee. The salmon entree was overcooked, however, and that oversight keeps Claddagh from a Very Good rating.
The service was great.
