“They thought of every detail”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

We just returned to Ontario from a trip through Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick, and have to say that the Sonata Inn was our favourite place to stay during our entire visit. The Sonata Inn far exceeded our expectations, especially after staying at the Four Points Sheraton in Halifax. Every detail was taken care of! The room was large and bright and the beds were comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and friendly chats with other guests. My son liked the novelty of visiting the library to borrow a dvd one evening. I appreciated the small touches like the make-up remover towelettes in the washroom. We also liked the fact that we could open a window to let the fresh maritime air through our room; something you can't do in large chain hotels. It's the little things that make all the difference. We will be recommending this to our friends.

Room Tip: Room #2 on the main floor is lovely - 2 queen beds.

We stayed 3 nights at the Sonata Inn. It was clean and quiet, in a beautiful and safe area of Charlottetown within walking distance of Victoria Park and a comfortable walk to downtown. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. On-site laundry is cheap and convenient. Breakfasts were good and plentiful but nothing memorable. Would definitely recommend this B&B to friends.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Sonara Inn. Great location. Very clean and good breakfast. Met lovely people at meals.
Staff could be a bit more up on what to do in Charlottetown and make suggestions.

We spent 2 nights at this B&B in august. It was excellent. The room was spacious with 2 queen beds very confortables with 4 pillows/bed. TV ACL flat screen, Just one negative point, the air conditionning was a little bit noisy. Breakfast was very goog with 2 menus each morning. The staff was very kind and courteous. The location is magnificent within walking distance of downtown and near the wonderful park (Victoria Park) (see photo). The residential area where is situated this B*B is magnificent, quiet and picturesque.

The value for money is excellent and I would definitely stay here again

My wife and I spent two nights at the Sonata Inn on our first visit to PEI in early August. It was a nice place to stay within walking distance of downtown Charlottetown. Breakfast was very good. Definitely would stay again on any future trips to PEI.

Room Tip: For couples recommend a room with queen sized beds or larger. We had a room with double beds which...

We originally were booked to stay at the Heritage House but because of an error on their end were put in the Sonata. The room was acceptable and a good size. For a Bed and Breakfast there was nothing homey about it. Breakfast was adequate. My husband and I have been to Niagara-on-the-lake to two B&B's; there was no comparison. Dale did nothing to make us feel welcome he just employees young women to work hard. This is not a B&B it is a rooming house.

Spent 1 night with my Mom while visiting PEI, we were in Charlottetown to see Anne of Green Gables musical. It was nice that Sonata Inn has rooms with 2 queen beds. The room was nice and spacious - the staff were helpful and very courteous. Breakfast was awesome with 2 choices plus toast/bagels/muffins/cinnamon rolls...etc. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great, comfortable stay in Charlottetown PE!!!!

Room Tip: Nice to find a B&B with rooms containing 2 Queen beds!!
